King Abdullah, the new King of Saudi Arabia will visit India as the Chief Guest for India's Republic Day on 26th January, 2006. The only other time the King of Saudi visited India was in 1955. It was King Saud. During those days Pandit Jawharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister of India, who paid visit to Saudi in 1956. King Fahd who became the King of Saudi Arabia after King Saud, never visited India. Even Indira Gandhi as Prime Minister visited Saudi Arabia.
