Dear Hon'ble Chief Minister,
Sub: Affordable and safer mass transit system for cities - theSkybus-
Railway technology based systems suffer from derailments and
capsizing down killing people- happening day in and day out. Till
now only the people traveling in the train died. But when you adopt
as elevated metro, then many innocent road users also will get
crushed below, leading to a havoc. Before the advent of a solution
by India viz., Skybus metro rail system, there was no alternative.
But with Skybus now being available, there is no need to create
additional danger on your city roads.
Skybus uses the same railway technologies well proven, but
with an improvement to provide better stability as well as a
positive holding between the rail tracks and the running bogie. This
makes the railway safer. Dynamically proven to perform better, as
per stipulations of the Chief Commissioner of Railways, and mature
to be supported by Safety Certification by the renowned TUV,
Rheinland Germany, the Skybus is ready for commercial
implementation.
Additionally Skybus system provides for cargo movement and
provides the same capacity as an underground metro- but costs less
than half , as compared to elevated metro. With so many advantages,
it does not seem very prudent to still go in for financial white
elephant like the elevated metro. Economic reality is that no BOT
operator can fund the losses, and Government will have to support
with subsidies. It is the writing on the wall - all metros are
suffering in the world. Skybus technology with patents granted by
USA, changes this.

But still if your administration wants to take the beaten path
only, in their wisdom, there appears to be no logic to oppose the
Skybus technology from being included in your tender documents,
denying the state and people, an opportunity to have better metro
system. State does not take responsibility for funding Skybus, and
safety as per international norms applicable to metro rail applies
here also. For BOT operators this is a financially viable option. In
24 months you will have the world's best metro running.
The Draft Policy of Govt. of India mentions the Skybus as an
option.
I seek your personal intervention to give a fair deal to our
Indian technology and Indian Companies, by not excluding the Skybus
technology- against which the lobbies of foreign metro companies in
our country are actively working. Please provide opportunity to
compete with the best of international technologies- India has
already proven by running the Skybus system for the first time in
the world, with dynamic performance much better than the best of
existing metro rail systems.
