I am truly amazed at our intense individual hypersensitivities. BTW: This has nothing to do with any Manuel Caldeira or anybody else; It has purely to do with ANYBODY who may or may not be harbouring the thought that Ceramic Factories DO NOT have ANY Scope for Pollution.
Only IF someone feels like that. IF we generally believe that Ceramic Factories which GLAZE products produce a serious degree of Lead Poisoning - There is NO argument. Then we are in agreement that such factories are best NOT in residential villages, but rather in Industrial Parks. This was the same position that was taken wrt META. http://www.colaco.net/1/META.htm I also hope that we all " sit up and take notice" HOW atmospheric lead levels from gasoline (petrol) have been dealt with via the mandatory use of only UNLEADED Petrol. I will ignore the irrelevant, non-related, gratuitous comments passed by Olavo. That is his choice. I will have nothing to do with gratuity. It is my firm impression that Those who argue on "gratuitous " levels, usually do not have a good point to make. Either that, or they do not know How to. Before I conclude this: IF Olavo Menezes did NOT mean WRT the Ceramic Unit that "there isn't ANY scope for ANY TYPE (Indoor or Outdoor) of pollution" WHEN HE WROTE "So where is the scope for any type of pollution?" ....... I stand corrected. After all, Marathi and Konkani are my first languages - Absolutely possible that I misunderstood. Am I to understand then that Mr. Olavo Menezes is defending the continuance of a Ceramic Factory in a Residential Village despite believing that There Might Be a Level of Pollution - which has been termed as "within permissible limits". Has this one in Moira ..... been tested...to determine the levels of Permissibility ? good wishes and a good morning jc http://www.colaco.net ======================================================= In response to this from Olavo Menezes Hi Jose, Don't be a hypocrite. If you think Air Pollution is indeed serious enough to sit up and take notice, stop driving your car and walk all over Nassau. As usual, you have again edited and twisted what I wrote. I said: "So where is the scope for any type of pollution?" and not: "there isn't ANY scope for ANY TYPE (Indoor or Outdoor) of pollution with reference to a Ceramic Unit". Again, when we refer to pollution in factories and production units, it means above the permissible limits. You know and I know that pollution can never be eliminated, it can only be reduced. If you want me to write in a similar fashion as you speak to your little patients in the hospital, I shall do so in the future. And Jose, if you had sat on the fence and said nothing it would have been fine. But you made it very clear that you were sitting on the fence yet you said something. And it wasn't about raising a legitimate query, it was sarcasm at its best! Guys who sit on the fence and and pass sarcastic comments are liable to get caught in the cross-fire! And I think it was you who took a dig at the messenger, while missing the message altogether. Anyway, I don't have the time to respond to mails that serve no purpose, so this will be my last response to you w.r.t this matter. Regards.
