However, I wonder if your general disparaging point on the highs and lows of the caste debate is a cop out or camouflage/obfuscation to avoid answering the two questions I posed to you five times. Surely, the answers should not be difficult for someone of your belief, learning/standing.
There is no catch in my two questions to you at all but just plain intellectual curiosity.
To repeat the questions, they were:
1) How does one reconcile Catholic belief with Hindu belief in caste? 2) Why do some Catholic Goans need the crutch of caste when the rest can get on fine without it?
I do want to take your posts seriously Gilbert if you at least try to answer the above questions. Equally, I'd be happy if you simply said you were unable to answer them and thus bring closure to the above questions this Easter.
