Samir, you are fair SKINNED and can have no offence about being called DARK. If there is any dark complexioned person who was offended by my spoof on a matrimonial [not on dark persons], let them speak up. No one has done so far. The spoof was not offensive at all. I will apologise ,if the need arises. I am not a Samir. OFFENSE is not always the best form of defence, specially when one uses offensive postings to defend the indefensible.. [Goanet]Goa's Fun Image.....Samir's 2nd STORY
## # If Goanet stops reaching you, contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] # # Want to check the archives? http://www.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet/# # Please keep your discussion/tone polite, to reflect respect to others # ## THIS IS A MORE PLAUSIBLE STORY. Perhaps Samir even knows the name of the friend whom he recommended to take a holiday in Goa all by his lonely self. If this man[ Samir uses the terms 'he' and 'himself' to refer to his 'friend', lest Cecil should dispute the 'gender' of the friend later]. In faxct , it is quite common talk on the beach. Surprising he did not offer young boys or 'unnatural sex' [ Lewinsky or otherwise] or 'foreign maal'. After the Tehelka expose on paedophilia in Goa,arrests of pimps and prostitutes in Baina and Calangute, this is no longer news.In fact, one can come across such touts at Yeshwantpur, Anandrao Circle, Tank Bund Road, Residency Road, Shivajinagar, PCTC, Munireddypalya, Chickpet, Tharugpet, K.R.Market, J.C.Road, K.H. Road, Lal baugh and other places in Bangalore if Samir wants to do some investigations in his town of residence, Bangalore. I can take him or his friend on a round when I am in Bangalore next. No point dreaming about sex in Goa while one is a bachelor in Bangalore. Like the Baina girls of yore, they also come on 'tours' of service for a long week-end or upto six days at a stretch. As the say, seven days make the whole weak. The only unlikely offer from such a tout is"> Tout: To kya chicken, mutton, fish ?" Touts normally do not have a 'parcel' service for food[ the English word]. Hindi is a common language used for domestic tourists by the Lamanis on the beach. They do speak Kannada or Telegu or Marathi when needed. English is reserved for the foreigners. Some even speak French and Spanish. I have heard Lamani children speak at Calangute and at Ingo's SNB. ... > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I recommended Goa to a friend of mine recently. > He visited Calangute, all by himself. > A tout approached him, and the conversation went thus:> > Tout: Saab, kya beer, drinks mangta hai? > My friend: No I dont drink. > Tout: To kya chicken, mutton, fish ? > My friend: No, I am a vegetarian. > Tout: To kya ladki mangta hai? > My friend: No. > Tout: Tumko drinks nahi mangta hai, chicken, fish nahin mangta hai, ladki > nahim mangta hi, to tum Goa aaya kyon?> > My friend meanwhile had a walkman with him which was playing songs. > The tout asked to have a look at it, and listened to the songs. > They were some sad songs by Kishore Kumar playing.> > Tout: Okay, to love break hua hai tumhara. Abhi humko samjha.> > Fully satisfied about the reason, the tout left.> > So, this is Goa's fun image. > > regards, > Samir Kelekar > -- This does not in any way substantiate Samir's claim about a 100 girls provided to a company at a 5-star hotel for discotheque or disco-sex as alleged in his original STORY No.1 ;-( Viva Goa. One day you allege that 100 girls were 'provided' in Goa and call for legalizing prostitution in Goa. Next time they become partners in a disco...subject to confirmation from your undisclosed source in Goa.Give me his phone number if you cannot afford a STD call to him to confirm...or hold your peace. You live in Bangalore but do not know if the rajyotsav is about old Mysore state or new state of Karnataka. Perhaps, you would like to legalise prostitution in Bangalore first. It is flourishing there in massage parlours, gyms and the like...in case you are ignorant of that, too. .. > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:> > What exactly you want a provisional apology for? Can you clarify? > You have written so much and I dont see how it relates to an apology. > Btw, my position on prostitution is that it should be legalized and > regularized. And that is independent of the place: Goa, Bangalore or > Las Vegas! > Samir .. {In a ironic twist, the participants in the Kala Academy's 'Gomant Darshan' which glibly portrays catholics as drunkards, staged a protest asking for their perkson the steps of Panjim's Church on 9 Nov..} ... Please consider your thoughts and information before you post. Surely, you lack the grace to apologise for irresponsible posts. I will wind up my discussion with you on this thread. It is an exercise in futility. You can have the last wordI would prefer if it was " SORRY." Viva Goa. Miguel

If you have the date of their alleged stay in Goa, one can trace the company even if the girls are not on record. How can one be stupid enough to think that a 5 star hotel will permit 100 girls, who are not the hotel's paid guests, to enter the rooms? It is not as if the girls can be smuggled in one's pockets or bags like some sea shells or trinketsspecially not if they are supposed to provide some 'fun'. Let us have the apology ,please. Even a graceful Samir can make a mistake. It is graceful to apologise when a mistake is made. Viva Goa. Miguel

At a recent male-only retreat by an Indian company in a renowned 5 start hotel, 100 male members were supplied with 100 young girls as companions for the evening. The girls turned out to be local teenage girls from the surrounding villages. (Hey, way to make easy money; takes care of the shopping needs of the teenage girls). BY DEVIKA SEQUEIRA Source: Deccan Herald. 30 October 2004 at: http://67.18.142.206/deccanherald/oct302004/n8.asp Full text: It isn't clear what image of Goa the BJP-led government here proposes to promote during the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is being viewed as a great tourism boost for the state. If he had his way Goa's Minister for Art and Culture Ramrao Dessai would like to "erase the false image of Goa as a land of fun, feni and frolic" and "westernised" society. The Goa government has organised a six-day Goa Mahotsav in New Delhi to project the 'other' face of this state. But Mr Dessai's pronouncement on Tuesday in Delhi before an audience of mainly non-resident Goans and the Union Minister for Tourism Renuka Chowdhary fell somewhat flat when the event's joint organisers, Goenkaracho Ekvott distributed miniature bottles of feni to dignitaries and members of the media. More embarrassing still, Ms Chowdhary decided to snub the minister for his comments. Goa she said, represented the beautiful beaches, the smell of feni and pork 'vindaloo'. "There is no better place for Christmas and New Year in the country," the union minister remarked even as she promised to promote the state as India's number-one tourist destination. Poorly organised event Mr Dessai's characteristic remarks were not the only glitch at the poorly organised Delhi event. An 80-member dance troupe that travelled all the way from Goa ended up performing before an audience of barely 20 persons at the Siri Fort Auditorium as Goan officials had forgotten to send out invitations. Meanwhile the event management of the film festival being held in Goa from November 29 to December 9 has been given to the Times Group's 360 Degrees, the state government announced recently. The company is being paid Rs 37 lakh to handle the screening of films on the beach, entertainment and ushering at the multiplexes, a government spokesman said. = Forwarded by Eddie Fernandes Thought: Is the Kala Academy an official alcohol-free zone?
