Arwind with political ambitions parted ways with her and Anna She chided Arwind for not consulting his mentor before plunging headlong and now she did exactly the same, That Anna even refused to take her call, she has lost her hope for his blessings She has suddenly found admiration and merit in Modi and his policies of governance et al. Her U turn appears unprincipled and lacks credibility in her laboured explanation. Her remark about neutrality versus nationalism and her personal choice after evolvement sounds hollow. Presenting thousands of twitter messages and another file on Governance is not a convincing argument. She is rightly indicted as an opportunist though she considers as an opportunity to serve Delhi and clear the cobwebs of mess and uncertainty of stable Govt formation eluding the Capital Her hidden ambitions have now been exposed for public scrutiny. Her act of draping BJP scarf around freedom fighter Lala Lajpatrai however momentarily smacks of gimmicks , unparalleled publicity for selfish short political gains She has not understood her induction in BJP, designating her as CM candidate pitching her against Arwind one time close confidant, The open revolt, in fights in rank and file of BJP of late import bypassing veteran politicians will take its silent toll Right thinking intellectuals believe that she has committed harikari by jumping on the band wagon of BJP, when earlier she had denounced joining active politics. She is refusing open debatesin preference to delivery and one wonders what public engagement she has for late night debates , which would carry far greater message as effective campaign strategy . Kiran Bedi appears to have lost public admiration, though she is in comfort zone with BJP and has to swallow all her barbs a against BJP and Namo. Even if she wins, she would no longer be held with same esteem and credibility as in the past. As Section 16(1) the Right to Information Act prohibits the Chief Information Commissioner from holding office after attaining the age of 65, any extension to Leena Mehendale would have been illegal and contrary to law. It is a relief that Leena Mehendale’s year long holiday in Goa at tax payer’s expense is finally come to an end next week. It is however surprising that the very tainted former Administrator of Communidade of Bardez Irene Sequeira has been appointed as Secretary of the State Information Commission which is a vital and sensitive post. Irene Sequeira is a co-accused along with Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar in the Serula Communidade land grab case with an F.I.R of cheating under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code registered against her and currently being probed by the Crime Branch. The Government must expedite on a priority the appointment of the Chief Information Commissioner and also the long overdue post of State Information Commissioner lying vacant since 2010. The selection process must be in a very transparent manner and strictly in accordance with law. There is a need of independent minded persons of eminence who would not succumb to political pulls and pressures to be selected to ensure the proper implementation of the Right to Information Act which the government has currently conveniently scuttled. The movement of IAC appears to be hijacked by BJP shooting over the shoulders of AAP, through proxies specially Kiran Bedi, V.K Singh, Baba Ram Dev and thus succeeded in decimating the Congress in general and in some state elections. V.K.Singh is in the party and now Kiran Bedi too .The leaning of Baba Ramdev was never in any doubt as to where his loyalties lay. In Delhi BJP knows that it is AAP is a formidable foe that is to be reckoned with as Congress is the admitted dark horse. The poaching of prominent members of IAC and congress is to give body blow to AAP. The utterances of Shanti Bushan betting for Bedi against Arwind at this juncture, maligning him in all aspects in comparison is a serious matter to aid the BJP. That the son Prashant Bushan does not agree with the father does not in any way dilute the devastating impact on AAP prospect providing on platter fodder to BJP campaign. The BJP in its game plan wants to reduce all oppositions in all states causing tremors in recent elections and now causing fissures in west Bengal through engineered defections. AAP became too ambitious too soon to stamp their identity in general elections and failed miserably .AAP was called B team of BJP, though BJP did not support them in Delhi and constantly exposed their corruption all over with no holes bared. BJP has used the movement India against corruption to its maximum advantage and is now seeking to marginalise AAP in Delhi. BJP rejected debate with CM hopefuls calling it a tamasha and further quoting lack of time. Giving BJP the reign without credible opposition is dangerous for democracy ,as has been envisaged in Parliament. APP can only be that opposition and voters of Delhi must see through the machinations., APP could not deliver in 49 days what they promised, when BJP and Congress rule of decades in Delhi did not succeed. Arwind may be called dictatorial, emotional, exploiter of publicity, but Bedi has indicated lust for power and lack of credibility from transformation of COP to a potential CM in the twinkling of an eye, She has swallowed the request of BJP and bit their bait for power trampling unmindfully the rank and file , who nurtured BJP over years with open visible protest s of being side-lined. Just as Sancoale is today known for producing a saint, we hope Anjuna will also have a saint soon.” “Be it Shiroda, Sanvordem, Kumta or Karwar, a weak and tired Fr. Agnelo went about spreading the faith. We are all called to be saints, and saints before us are an inspiration to us” said Bishop Theodore. He said that it was an occasion for him to rejoice in celebrating with other Pilar priests the 146th birth anniversary of Ven. Fr. Agnelo in his native village of Anjuna. Earlier the vice postulator for the cause of Ven. Fr. Agnelo, Fr. Hilario Fernandes spoke about various miracles attributed through the intercession of Ven. Fr. Agnelo. Fr. Hilario said the Holy See was still awaiting a major miracle from Fr. Agnelo to declare him blessed. “I have come across various miracles performed through the intercession of Fr. Agnelo, and after an examination with my team, I have sent these cases to Rome but somehow they have fallen short of getting Fr. Agnelo beatified.
