IDEA-LOGY Greta Thumberg the 16 yr old girl from Sweden has the right idea lambasting all the politicians and industralists, builders etc ruinning the earth merrily caring a damn for future generations by idiotic so called development which is absolutely lop sided. We are proceding like Lemmings unable to change direction leading proliferating mankind over the cliff to our doom. En route destroying all flora and fauna, poisonning the Earth for everyone and everything including ourselves sometimes in God's name! FM wants to revive our fossil fuel vehicle industries, for the old jobs and way of living. No place to park, expensive fuel and maintenance, increasing costs of insurance, high fines for lack of in date PUC and so on, pot holed crowded roads and traffic jams etc. Prices of everything like vegetables, fruits , essential commodities going out of reach! Which fool will want to waste his shrinking money with no guarantee of job, and no guarantee of value and safety of his money in the bank to buy a white elephant? Lifestyle and basic thinking changes urgently required. But Howdy Houston is the next spectacle?

Goa is a very cash strapped State with the government on a monthly borrowing spree to tide up its day to day expenses. Despite this entire very grim scenario the Government has had the audacity to squander lakhs of rupees in displaying huge cut-outs and advertisements all over welcoming the Union Fianace Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the 37th GST Council two day meet held in Goa. All this atrocious expenditure of lakhs of rupees on this needless fanfare should be strongly deprecated. Financial discipline and monetary accountability is a must if Goa and our India is to move on. But with Nirmala Sitharaman herself grappling with facts and figures the future does not seem bright. Every paisa from the State exchequer must be very judiciously spent. It is particularly appalling when expenses are incurred on the unnecessary. It is an irony that while the State cries over lack of funds we see very unjustified expenditure. For rationalization in government spending, strong and sincere austerity measures need to be taken with criminal waste of public funds on superfluous expenditure strictly prohibited. Fiscal answerability and responsibility has to be an ongoing sustained process. Due to the repeated follies of the government we have landed in this current fiscal upheaval. Now it is the bounden and the lawful responsibility of the authorities to work towards restoring Goa back on the road to economic prosperity.
