Thoughts at Easter

I laughed and fell from the chair, until my dear Uncle from Mars told me
not to be SILLY . <<<>> He uttered in a gruff
Martian manner So now quite sober.and even my computer is healing I
decided to start with what made fall from the chair with sheer mirth…So
Let me introduce you to a very Great partly African Philosopher, partly
Roman, partly Arab but that fellow studied Ancient Greek, Roman, and Even
Egyptian Philosophy (at least the Igyptian admitted when the were wrong. I
am referring to the Bishop of Hippo (It is a place NOT to the massive
creatures with incredibly tiny four feet …a bit piggy in appearance but
weighing over 250 Kgs their tails are tiny but their hides cut into
strips can lacerate a human being very very painfully and badly. In
Swahili, the word for such a whip is Kiboko or Hippo )

Why the Bishop of HIPPO was mad was that thinking and THINKING nonstop
about the HOLY TRINITY ln sheer disgust, he decided to take a break and
walk along the shore of the sea where waves were crashing. Cool and Breezy
...Refreshing with only thoughts meandering through the folds of his
brain. He spied a little boy with a shell. He asked what he was doing and
the little boy without hesitating said

 <<<>>.

A very concerned Bishop (yes of Hippo) fearing that the boy was going
bonkers told the little fellow very politely:

<<< You will hurt yourself and one big wave might smash into you and take
you out into the sea>>>

,<<>>

A shocked BISHOP OF HIPPO stopped thinking but the Boy who and just
vanished in thin air

The boy or Angel had just disappeared, the Bishop of HIPP returned to his
chamber…he was very very wet including his gold coloured mitre and clothes
>>> Yes little by little like the shell that the boy was trying to empty
the ocean …he too realized the futility of his dream. Like the Egyptian
Philosopher..he realized that he was wrong !!

Ofcourse, I was not, at Hippo more than 1500 years but I have another
angle Let me share it with you all. …Whether you are a Hindu, Buddhist,
Muslim, Christian we all have a GOD …A very Supreme SPIRIT called GOD.
Globally *Over 7 billion Adults cannot* be all wrong

I too realized this in a major way, In the private Hospital in Dar es
Salaam, over a 55 days period I witnessed first hand how people respond to
death..they were Hindus, Catholics, Muslims. For some reason several of
them mistook me for a Medical Doctor on duty

So over Easter ….and with Pentacost coming soon may we all including You…I
hope WE ALL GET ENLIGHTENED

God Bless Us All

Grandolfo

In a Cool Makongpo Juu Temp of 26 degrees

PS…What some of us are trying to do is to say INFINITY plus one is a bigger
number. This is rubbish ask any Mathematician ….the boy talking to the
Bishop was telling him the same thing more politely. Sleep is good for us
all..that was the trouble with the Bishop of Hippo

Re: [Goanet] chagall white crucifixion at DuckDuckGo

When I first saw the painting, it seemed no different from the usual paintings
of the Crucifixation. However, viewing it now in a different light from your
explanation, it makes a lot of sense.
Thanks,
John

Anita:

Chagall lived in Byelorussia during the during the death throes of the tyranny
of the Tsars, and the birth of a new tyranny of Leninism. All through this
difficult period, every one attacked Jews violently and destroyed their farms,
homes and villages. Many were taped and killed.

Marc Chagall was showing the Suffering of Jesus, in the agony and death Jesus
is shown wearing a prayer cloth around his loins, instead of the traditional
loincloth. And surrounding Jesus, there are scenes of Jews being persecuted,
their farms destroyed and harm inflicted on them, resulting in them fleeing to
safer places.

It is a profound condemnation of the Christians who are using Jesus’ name to
destroy his people. And it is a plea for tolerance and peace.

We may find analogies to the persecution of Jews and their exile from their
homes now that we are remembering the 50th anniversary of the expulsion of
Indians from East Africa, culminating in the final ninety days for Ugandan
Indians to go into exile.

It is for this reason I posted it on the Goan sites.

Many far right Christians, and even many Catholics, object to this painting,
claiming it to be blasphemous. I find it a sad despairing and probably true
reflection of the human race.

Pope Francis, a well-established
ally and friend of the Jewish people, considers the painting to be his favorite.

One should certainly look at it, study it and come to one’s own opinion. The
original is displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago. It is believed the Pope
plans to seeing it later this year on a visit to North America.

Hi Mel...Interesting and profound painting by a Hasidic Jew. Of a Jewish Man
who was considered as a rebel (but Who was Incarnate).
Many Catholics /Christians tend to forget that Christ was a Jew.
I have never heard of this work by Chagall.
1938---as per the link. Just before WW2! How could he possibly have known to
depict the horrors of what would happen.
The whole painting is so packed and alive with imagery
Hasidic Jews are deeply into the Torah; wonder what drew him to paint the
crucified Jesus?

[Goanet] GOA NEEDS MINIMUM GOVERNMENT AND MAXIMUM GOOD GOVERNANCE

2022-04-18 Thread Aires Rodrigues
Goa is a very small State, infact India’s smallest State. We already have
two districts which are extremely small compared to our neighboring States
of Maharashtra and Karnataka.

As every decision of the government has to be for people’s welfare, the
creation of a new District cannot be pursued with political motives.

As creating a new District involves the task of setting up an entire
separate administrative machinery, if the district is too small, then that
administrative set up will be under-utilized. And it will be a needless
recurring burden on the State.

The Goa Government must with an open mind examine the entire issue and not
be guided by vested motives as carving out a new District will be creating
a permanent fiscal liability on our State which is already in dire
financial straits.

Our Goa could have been well governed with just 20 MLAs and a handful of
Ministers. But now by way of Pratapsingh Raoji Rane we have a 13th Minister
and that too with nothing to do. Goa’s longest serving MLA, who now will be
better known as our longest State Guest too, rejoicing in the land of too
many Political Tigers.
