Scientists who have made significant contributions to push the frontiers of
knowledge will be now be considered.
It has become apparently that those in academia doing research only publish
and may not have patents.

My dad (the late Dr. Manuel Dias) was his first cousin, younger by just a year, 
 and they were hostel-mates in Wadia College Poona. 

Fleming was inventing even then. He had devised an alarm clock that would first 
ring, then start giving you gentle electric shocks to coax you to wake up! 

I used to love to listen to their stories of college life in Poona. They made 
it sound so romantic!

[Goanet] Toilets are stinking

Toilets need urgent repairs
The toilets attached to Chinchinim Village library and Govt.Primary School
needs immediate repairs.The doors needs  looking arrangement and open acess
cause of  abuse by unsocial elements .must be closed. The water facility
must be restored.  The library  opened after being closed , the interior
filled with dirt and surroundings with overgrown weeds welcoming the users.
Is an eyesore The Panchayat and MLA need to pay immediate  attention to
this much needed public facility
