On the carved steps of this majestic alter are six angles, two of which are carrying a sort of coat of arms depicting the title of Our Lady, calling Her “ *Maria Immaculata Conceptio Ora Pro Nobis”* meaning Mary of Immaculate Conception Pray for us. Perhaps this is the very reason why Her feast is solemnly celebrated on December 8th. The great arch, which separates the Sanctuary from the nave, is depicting with the mysteries of the most Holy Rosary.
