Dear Cyrus,

Thanks for your kind appreciation and comments.
If you require coloured pictures please let us know

We think it is a lovely idea to start a section on villages, churches,
temples, traditions of Goa
Hope others respond positively to your idea.

Kind regards
Antonio

Thank you for the information. No titbit of history is unimportant. It may
not be relevant today but at some point in time someone will be very

 A question to all
Should i start a section on villages, churches, temples, traditions of
Goa. (Joel from Assagao had done a great series on villages some years ago
and posted on Goacom.) Have a sort of online repository? Will there be a
 response?
 God bless
 Cyrus

 Is Goan unity wishful thinking?

The main altar is dedicated to the Patroness, Our Lady of Socorro.

On the carved steps of this majestic alter are six angles, two of which are
carrying a sort of coat of arms depicting the title of Our Lady, calling

The left side of this arch is artistically carved and authentic gold plated
altar dedicated to *Saint Sebastian the Martyr* (original feast day 20thJanuary)

The other two altars are placed on the sidewalls of the Church in the nave.
The altar on the right is dedicated to “*Nossa Senhora de Boa Viajem*”
meaning Our Lady of Safe Journey. The Statue of “ Nossa Senhora de Boa
