[Goanet] Goa Minority Development Commission.
Catholic MLA’s along with Bishop Palace have to do lot of home work before they revolt against the Goa BJP Govt. http://www.epaperoheraldo.in/Details.aspx?id=13603boxid=154724674uid=dat=6/11/2015 From the time of declaration of Goa Statehood, cores of rupees of funds meant for minorities development were returned to the center or not used as the state Congress government did not form the ‘Minority Commission.’ The minorities suffered for years under the Congress rule in Goa. Hindus and Catholic CM’s during their time in power never took the opportunity to form the minority commission since 1980. Not only that the Catholic MLA’s have to research in New Delhi as to which CM of Goa or member of parliament submitted a report that the Minorities were near equals to majorities in Goa and hence there was no need to setup a minority commission in Goa and Goa never had minority development problem like else were in the country. Even the Chief Secretaries who took the initiative were told to keep silence on this matter by our own elected representatives who were all out to suppress the development of minorities in Goa. So the funds were either returned or not used. Minority commission develops new schools and maintain old ones run by minorities, build new and maintain their worship places, provide low interest loans for small business owned by minorities, holds national and international business meet to promote minorities enterprises. The Goa state minority commission was never formed by the Congress CM’s both, Hindus and Catholic CM’s during their time in power since 1980. Veena.
[Goanet] Fake Degrees …and...Goan politicians….arrest them too…
In Goa we have ex- Congress Chief Ministers and ex Congress Ministers with fake degrees. They have no consciousness, no morality for this they have to be arrested and shamed, A Ponda Congressman who cannot complete a sentence in English holds a fake Masters degree and a Chinchinim Congressman converted a survey certificate into fake Engineering degree... the list is long Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar arrested for possessing fake degrees. Mr.Tomar submitted them to register with Bar council of Delhi. Now he say it’s a BJP conspiracy…ha.. ha.. ha… http://www.epaperoheraldo.in/Details.aspx?id=13583boxid=16195479uid=dat=6/10/2015 Shame….Shame…..Shame…. they have to be arrested and shamed… Veena
[Goanet] Adv.Eduardo Faleiro mocks Mr.Parrikar for making false pledges
Link below is the Eduardo Faleiro’s 04/29/2015 mocks at Govt for making false pledges. http://www.epaperoheraldo.in/Details.aspx?id=12745boxid=161320984uid=dat=4/29/2015 Mr.Edurado Faleiro was member of Parliament from 1977 to 1999. He was a Union Cabinet minister at the Indian federal government in New Delhi from 1986 to 1996. Need for Special status for Goa was felt right from the post liberation times as experienced Indian businessmen who went through two planned commissions under Nehru Govt. started buying prime land in Goa for their business and leisure interest. For the last 30 years Edurado Faleiro being our representative in parliament and Union Minister never took up special status issue with his ruling congress Govt. or got distracted with foreign scholarships for his daughters. In Democracy we have the right to know as to why Eduardo Faleiro during his long and long tenure in parliament did not plead for special status for Goa. Now he is holding press conferences asking Parrikar who is little over a year old in Union cabinet to bring in special status in Goa. The only thing Mr.Parrikar can do in an instance as Defense Minister of India is to get the navy out of Dabolim Airport in one signature. Due to shortage of dwelling land in Goa, future Goans will not be able to fulfil their dream of owning a home in Goa. This Edurado Faliero is demanding rehabilitation of neighbouring state slum dwellers in Goa, contradicting the concept of need for special status . The contractors and builders who profit from these labourers from slum dwellings should be held accountable for their rehabilitation not Goans. The Congress rule from the beginning should have made rules for every builder or Contractor and given them a quota of labourers or a number of labourers with I D’s according to their contraction needs and keep a check about their whereabouts, In the absence of clear cut rules under congress rule has given rise to this slums in Goa. Every time Edurado Faleiro was defeated in an election he some how made back door entry in the Goan cabinet using his influence like In March 2006, Mr Faleiro was appointed as Commissioner for NRI Affairs by the Government of Goa, with the rank of a Cabinet Minister was literally living with his family at Goan tax payers cost “an inspiration for millions” . And in return never spoke a word on the ongoing corruption during the congress rule in Goa. And was partly responsible along with Rane for the deaths of 7 konkaniwadi. Faleiro was born in Raia, in the then Portuguese colony of Goa, on August 30, 1940, So he was over 20 year old at the time of liberation and history shows that he never took part in the liberation movement. by Veena.
[Goanet] Congratulation and hats off to Mr.Vishnu SURIYA Wagh, MLA
Congratulation and hats off to Mr.Vishnu ?SURIYA? Wagh, MLA Mr. Vishnu MLA needs support to unearth the Goa Kadamba dynasty through the Goa/Indian Govt...financial allotment to Archaeology... It is true Roque santana and fly are the descendants of Hangal section of the Kadambas. I feel very sad to read that the Roque Santana Family have moved away from Goa. From the historical information it is like the King giving Democracy to his people like how it was done in British history. It is a clear Goan historical fact that the 1962 ‘Satyagraha’ of Mr.Roque Santana brought in Democracy and first ever election in Goa. Therefore, its is important to install his statue in the new Legislative Assembly Complex so that the future generation knows their Goan heritage. Late Roque Santana brought Democracy to Goa not to Velim/Velliapura. Goan politicians have to read the researched Goan History. Thanking you for your time. Veena

Mr Naik said that it is for the District management to decide how to use the fund but added that as a Member of Parliament representing the entire State ,it was his duty to be of help to the members of the deceased families and families of those injured during the tragedy. People appeared to be angry that the local ruling party is more interested in organizing a public rally for one of their leaders rather than concentrating their efforts in Canacona. In a statement issued today, Mr Naik said he tried to pacify the people saying the administration , which has no experience in handling such disasters in the past, is doing its best to hand over the extricated bodies to the relatives , after proper identification and count. He also said that efforts are on to extricate trapped bodies. Mr Naik said that he had a brief discussion with the Collector of South Goa , policers and officers of State Disaster Management team, who are planning to demolish the nearby building to avoid further damage. Mr Naik said locals were angry that there is an undue delay in obtaining technical machinery required in such operations Mr Naik also said he will try obtain Central funds ,if needed. Unfortunately, Mr Naik said MPLAD funds cannot be given to individual victims, and that, he was of the strong view that MPLAd rules should be amended to permit MPs to distribute one or two percent of the funds to individuals for emergency individual relief, he said. Mr Naik said that people of Canacona have become emotional and they are expressing their ire over politicians and government officers but, everyone should understand their emotional outburst at this critical hour Mr Naik said. [Goanet] Father of Goan Democracy award
Roque Santana ‘father of Goan Democracy’. *…ref Kadamba’s of South India, Our proud heritage. The secrets of Velim.* On the eve of 17th June, 1955 history almost repeated for this family when Avelino’s son Roque Santana was mortally injured by the Portuguese forces in Chandor, South Goa in their attempt to free the Salcete island. It is said that he was considered dead, many locals recollect that it was at that time words came out of Avelino’s mouth of the historical bad luck for the family at Chandrapura but never gave up hope and postponed the last rites. It is a historical fact that Prime minister Nehru’s warning statement for Portuguese, carried by newspapers in Goa and Bombay on the Roque Santana shooting in Chandor lead to his better medical treatment had saved his life. Same locals say Roque Santana true to his ancestry the young worrier survived and went on to be recognized as the single hand force in Goa, This type of Portuguese attacks on the locals prompted Prime minister Nehru to take action. On 19th Dec 1961 Goa was liberated by the Indian armed forces, along with other freedom fighters Roque Santana was released from prison. Well wishers joined his father and family to welcomed him home with waving palm leaves. It was celebration time for all but for father and son it was more a personal victory. We see the unfold of his unique personality in a 1987 interview with the Portuguese national TV when RoqueSantana forgive the old Portuguese reign and expressed his reconciliation with the democratic people of Portugal. On June17th 1962 Roque Santana announced to the world from this historical Veliapura compound in the presence of Mr. Gopala Handoo representative of Prime Minister Nehru and his father Mr. Avelino that he wants Democracy for his people-the Goans at the end of his three day ‘Satayagraha’, from there on is popularly known as father of Goan Democracy. The whole pre and post liberation Goan history bear his name. He was elected to State legislative Assembly twice and was awarded a national award by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for his contribution to Goan freedom struggle. __ On 12th January 2007, Roque Santana suffered a sudden cardiac arrest near their palatial estate in New York City following a ice skating trip with his grandson in midtown Manhattan and was rushed to Brook dale Hospital, Brooklyn, USA. He did not recovered and was pronounced dead by the Doctors working on him. After canceling the Indian Armed forces gun salute State funeral at Velim the status fit for his qualification, his body was cremated in Canarase a seaside red indian village in Brooklyn, the village name similar to Canarese, Origin of Kadamba’s. His mortal remains were flown in this country and laid to rest along with his royal ancestors in Veliapura sacred grounds, at the hands of Chief Minister of Goa Mr. Digamber Kamat. On 15th Jan 2007, all the 40 legislature of the Vidhan Sabba, The Goa State Legislative Assembly met in a session to observe the state of mourning through a motion introduced on the floor of the house by Cabinet Minister Mr.Philip Neri Rodrigues. In 2009 Roque Santana Memorial Foundation awarded The first prestigious crystal ‘Roque Santana-Father of Goan Democracy award’ to late Dr.Jack de Sequira former Leader of opposition-Goa for his role during the famous Goan opinion poll in 1967.
[Goanet] South Goa Collectrate after late Minister Mr.Mathany
From: Veena *D’Sa* Mathany had a vested interest in promoting heritage tourism as his ancestral house is among the houses identified by the heritage committee set up by the government. Never mind that no follow up action was taken on the scheme to assist and aid owners of heritage homes who participate in promoting heritage tourism May his soul rest in peace. Veena Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2013 11:39:44 -0400 From: Andrew Antao andreant...@gmail.com South Goa Collectrate after late Minister Mr.Mathany Saldanha Margoa May 28, 2013: At a joint meet of Goa Students committee and Niz Goans today strongly opposed the Government proposal to name the south Goa Collectrate after late Minister Mr.Mathany Saldanha. Joint leader and Convener Mr. Andrew Antao stated that Late Mathany?s work does not qualify for that status and that Chief Minister Mr.Manohar Parrikar and Ms.Alina Saldanha are making an Elephant out of a Squirrel and to leave the south Goa Collectrate as South Goa Collectrate. Late Mr. Mathany’s work is associated with a fraction small percentage of Goan population and just because he died in office does not qualify him to naming of South Goa Collectrate after him. There are hundreds of Goan leaders and Goan tiatrists who have done more relevant work and who could be considered beginning with late Mr. M.Boyer who is nationally awarded. They observed, Late Mr.Mathany won his assembly seat due to a triangular fight where the opponents pulled more votes and condemned his wife Ms. Alina’s entry into politics through a unopposed backdoor. Mr. Gregory Fernandes said that this naming move of has angered economically backward niz Goans. Mr. Mathany comes from prominent pro-Portuguese landlords family with their influence in Portuguese administration known to have suppressed ordinary Goans and made fortunes during centuries long Portuguese reign in Goa. Further, Mr. Ramesh Naik demanded an inquiry into his teaching profession in Don Bosco?s Panjim starting from early 1980?s. till the end of his teaching career Mr. Mathany use to remain absent for 55% of the academic year thereby damaging learning process of the students under him. From: Jeffery S. Nunes jefferys.nu...@yahoo.com Subject: South Goa Collectrate after late Minister Mr.Mathany Once as a student in Sept. of 1980’s I was part of the 9th Std delegation to Principal Don Bosco’s Panjim. Fr. B.Furtado office , voicing that the teacher Mr. Mathany remained absent for the whole monsoon season of the academic year. Fr. Furtado immediately provided us with a substitute teacher for order in the classroom for that week, but gave us the impression that union members were protected under the law, to that our monitor gave a fitting reply to Fr. Furtado that this cannot continue as we are students and we will be facing public exam within a year. Fr. Furtado promised us that he will call teacher Mathany immediatly. Now as I look back It was really damaging for our learning process. Later remaining part of the year I still remember Mr. Mathany teaching us with all excitement and smile about flower pollination process and frog reproduction systems Mr. Mathany was a near middle age man still unmarried in a way we could understand his excitement at that junior age or we could not distinguish between insanity. After that period of my life I never heard nor saw Mr. Mathany, now have to deal with Mathany Administrative Center again, really surprised with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar naming move. May his soul rest in peace.
