Re: [Goanet] GIVE AAM AADMI A CHANCE IN GOA

2016-05-04 Thread Vishal Rawlley
If AAP can make just one bold promise and make it the battle cry for the
next election, I will mobilize as much support as I can for them. The main
demand is:
Bring back the Rs 35,000 crores of mining loot and put the looters behind
bars.

This is *three times the annual budget* of the Goa government. Efforts in
this direction will singularly pay more dividends than any other measure to
improve the economy.

Any party which has the courage to declare this as a priority shall prove
that they are for the ordinary people of Goa and not to serve the
miner-politician-hotelier-industrialist nexus.

The offenders are clearly known. They should be immediately arrested along
with kith and kin. Squeeze their balls till they cough up the money. For
their won survival they will.

The small state of Goa has become a personal fiefdom of a few who now act
like the mafia. Ordinary folk are being taken for a ride, worse, they are
being murdered, raped, put behind bars, their limbs broken, their lands
snatched... How long will Goans tolerate this???

Re: [Goanet] WILL ST INEZ CREEK BE CLEANED UP AT LAST?

2016-04-22 Thread Vishal Rawlley
Oh, of course the clean up will NOW be taken up. NOW that a great
INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT with "sophisticated, expensive machinery" has been
discovered. How lucky we are!!! Our own scientists and engineers are so
third rate.

Kindly request MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker to update us on the following:

1) The status on the tender to reconstruct the box culvert at the mouth of
the creek. It was to be the simplest option to re-vitalize the creek in the
most natural way.
2) Kindly explain the fencing around the mouth of the creek on the sand bar
jutting out from the park into the river. Commissioner Sanjit Rodrigues had
no clue about it.

I highly appreciate the sincerity of both the MLA and the Commissioner in
always replying to citizen's questions and being extremely approachable. No
matter what the question and how it is asked, a polite reply always comes
back. As citizens we have to applaud this.

Warm regards,
Vishal

Re: [Goanet] GOANET: PANJIM IS PRONE TO ACCIDENTS DUE TO BAD ROADS AND HIGHER SPEED

2016-04-08 Thread Vishal Rawlley
Sir,
Your observation as always is so correct and so precise that if the
authorities paid any heed to it they would be able to solve the city
problems in no time and without much expense. But no. They will undertake
road widening, construct multi-level parking, get consultants to make
'urban mobility plans', spend crores of public money, waste months and
years, let a few people die along the way... all in the name of making a
'Smart City'. What a sad and stupid state of affairs.

But because Panjim is blessed with Smart Citizens we maintain hope.
