'Brain Bang' Annual Ceremony held with a bang!

Kuwait: The Brain Bang team under the auspices of Friends of CRY Club (FOCC) 
Kuwait held their Annual Ceremony on Friday, 17th April 2009 at the Kuwait 
American School with characteristic enthusiasm and one to one interaction among 
students and parents.  The celebration was held to conclude the fourth 
successful session of their Accelerated Learning program this year in Memory 
Enhancement Techniques.
 
The students of Brain Bang demonstrated activities like Mind-mapping and other 
skills that they have learnt in a creative skit format. Live demonstration of 
the direct application of these techniques to their studies was witnessed by 
proud parents and amazed guests.
 
Presentations about the Brain Bang initiative, its progress and it’s future 
direction were very well received by the chief guests of the occasion- The 
parents themselves! The cultural program in the end highlighted the 
multifaceted personalities of the Brain Bang students with magic show by Edgar 
D’Souza, Lester D’Sa, Pranav Sankar, Aditya Sudhakaran and Khozema Kausar and a 
peppy dance by Marium George, Enaam Merchant, Iklas Merchant, Medihah Merchant 
and Kynara Fernandes. 
 

 
At the onset,  Janis D’Sa welcomed the parents, students and well-wishers. A 
brief on the course information was presented by Javis Gerald and thanked all 
his team members:  Janis D’Sa, Sara Gerald, Shegufa Merchant, Olina Lewis, 
Nisrin Merchant and Monica Rodrigues for their dedication and cooperation.  
 
A Parents’ interview was conducted by Shegufa Merchant in which the pros and 
cons of the Brain Bang experience vis-à-vis their participant children gave a 
good glimpse of the year long course held by FOCC.  
 
The  event was graced by the presence of Capt. Pawan Chaudhry and   Gaspar 
Almeida our FOCC volunteers who were enthralled by the achievements of the 
Brainbang participants. Mr. Joseph Panicker, the President of IEI, shared a few 
thoughts and ideas. The Brain Bang Team was congratulated for their whole 
hearted efforts and a brief outline of CRY activities was highlighted by Capt. 
Pawan Chaudhry.  Certificates and gifts were presented at the hands of Mr. 
Gaspar Almeida to all the Brain Bang course participants and the Brain Bang 
(FOCC) volunteers.   
The programme was compered by Nisrin Merchant and  Shegufa Merchant. FOCC 
thanked the managements of Kuwait American School, IEAS (Don Bosco) and in a 
special way the press and media for their support.  A vote of thanks was 
proposed by Enaam Merchant. The next batch for Accelerated Learning is 
scheduled to begin in October 2009.
