Re: [Goanet] "Nom de Plume" copacetic on Goanet?
GL responds: In our town the only people legally permitted to go under an assumed name are public offenders (criminals), including sex offenders, who are trying to start a new life. Of course these individuals are being closely monitored by the police. To me alias-users are individuals trying to pull a fast one on others and want to hide their identity. Regards, GL-- GL,I have no problems with public offenders being offered a second chance - after they have paid their debt to society. My problem is with those who assume false identities in order to offend society. Such scum have a thousand reasons for false ID's but they remain just that - scum. The real tragedy is when we point out such offenders and those supposedly in control do nothing about it - even when their stated policy is to have no false ID's. Mervyn
