Dr Barad: most Christians I know don't use the word 'God.' .. Can I get
clarification on this?

Dr Falcao: Some Christians (and some Catholics too), use GOD to make dodol
during Christmas. Sometimes a little extra so it becomes GODD.

COMMENT: I enjoyed this response from Dr Falcao. Very witty indeed.

I agree with the content of the message except for the use of the word
'God.' This I say because most Christians I know don't use the word 'God.'

Can I get clarification on this?

Ana,
Who told you, that you should love brother or sister? Why not both??

I guess you have changed your religion, I'm curious to know, whom you
venerate at home!! Why would anybody write nonsence, unless in turmoil..
Please get hold of yourself..

when your contribution to the church is nil, what is the point you want to
make?

I suggest you buy one helmet, and wear it not just when riding a motorbike,
but 24x7, so your head remains intact:-)

Best..

[Goanet] WHAT IS CHRISTIANITY.

2013-04-24 Thread Michael fernandes
Thanks for defining Christianity, offering candles and flowers is one's way of
thanking Jesus or the saints (not the lifeless statues, as you say) for favors
received. The priest has not encouraged it because it brings in money. I for
one would prefer to put in money in the church boxes instead of the flowers and
candles, as the church needs the money for its upkeep.
Christianity for me does not mean just loving your brother or sister, it is
forgiving my enemy. May Christ forgive you.
Michael.

We Christians have got very limited knowledge about the Word of God (Bible). As
parents, we never encourage our children to read it neither do we read it. We
have taken it for granted and hence we are unable to tell what is right or
wrong.

We blindly agree to our spiritual Leaders. We have even made amendments to 10
commandments. Has anybody got right to change God's words?

Please read Exodus 20 which will clarify  that it is wrong to make graven
image, bow down or serve them (This is one of the commandments).

Many thanks Ana Maria for bringing this to our attention.

God bless
