I will only respond to the accusation made by Soter D'Souza against his former classmate, one Miguel Braganza, who worked with Soter in the GBA [from which Soter claims to have resigned ...but was present for the two meetings earlier this month and even made a presentation on 09 June, 2008, about his forte, the V-for Article 243 ZD! ] Miguel should furnish the proof wherein Soter has claimed to have resigned from GBA and attended the meeting thereafter. As usual Miguel seems to be just imagining things. I was not involved in the GGRM activity beyond saying a few words of encouragement at the Dando-Benaulim meeting on 12 May, 2008. Soter was a star speaker at Calangute on 25 May and Rajan Parrikar screened the Rape of Goa at that meeting. I was in the audience. Soter is[was?] also an official part of the CSJP; I am not. So what exactly has Soter done for the GGRM. He knows where the three fingers and one thumb of his point while accusing me. If he cannot see it, perhaps he can use a mirror. ;-) Soter has a different take than GGRM on the value of assistance I rendered in regards to the vacation of ex parte Stay Orders by the DIRECTOR OF PANCHAYATS against VILLAGE PANCHAYATS ... akin to cutting one's nose in spite of the face! Perhaps, he has not read the newspapers while celebrating Sao Joao. Has Miguel any proof that GGRM is part and parcel of CSJP? For his information I have neither been consulted on the formation of GGRM nor have I been officially approached by CSJP to advise GGRM. I was only invited to a press conference called by GGRM to clarify the rights of the Gram Sabha and that is all. The Calangute meeeting was organised by the parishioners and Soter was invited by the local organsers. Miguel has definitely got his facts all bungled up and as usual seems to be thriving by creating confusion in goan minds. I still hold that GGRM strategy on 23rd June was untenable in law and a blunder that favours the builders. The blunder will become evident in a few days. With my bare-foot legal knowledge I am ready to take on Miguel on a public debate on the legal blunder of the stay-order issue and the memorandum. The very fact that advisors of GGRM have been questioning the legal strategy of other organisations with vast legal competence in environmental matters is proof enough of their ignorance. GGRM has been criminally sent on a wild goose chase and is heading for disaster in the mega project issues. I have shared it with the GGRM representatives personally on Sao Joao Day after receiving their frantic calls for advise when they hit a road block. It is only out of concern for the villagers that I am not coming public on the blunders and loopholes provided to builders through irresponsible advise. -Soter

Are they really interested in the well being of Seby and this State or are they trying to use this opportunity to further some other agenda? Below is some slander and fraudulent comments being circulated on the goa-net just 6 days ago by none other than some of those very shameless persons appealing for unity and solidarity with Seby. This was because some activists only tried to bask in the glory of the people's achievements on the i-net without putting for them the required safeguards in place. Genuine activists who have been battling against projects in courts know the reality and the pain of it all and will definitely not pass such irresponsible moral judgements against Claude and Norma or any other activist/group for not meeting with success against 2 mega-projects. Common people have been toiling day and night to save their villages even at the sacrifice of their daily bread whereas some activists appear and dissapppear like helicopters and are only there for the cameras and to prevent these people from building a larger support network to attain a faster reolution to their problems. Politicians are possesive about their control on constituencies, similarly these criminal activists have also started cultivating such constituencies to use them as their project laboratories. I said it and say it again, that the people of Goa need to be more careful about white collared social activists who masquerade as the sole possessors of the Eternal Truth and Eternal Wisdom. They only keep the unsuspecting people of Goa in cocoons so that they can be made guinea pigs for their research projects.
