Fair enough that this article was put up on Goanet---its India related. But
was it necessary to bring Marx in to present this article? Why these
perennial digs. Does it help you or anyone? In the context presented (all
the ills) signing Jai Hind is insulting, and that too with an exclamation
mark. At least say you are sad to say Jai Hind (if you are). I mean there
will be a lot of stories coming out like this for the next fifteen
years---the churning cannot stop that easily. So at least hold your ground
and maintain distance (other there is no difference with those who
consistently lambaste anything a bit off center left)--praise your existence
and dare I say, even pray---if only for ones internal core. Call it
meditation if that helps.
Seriously, people. Still your minds. Its getting obvious and trite that
Christianity has not helped too many Goans--other than the lifestyle bit.
But even that is hardly our very own now. Its pretty clear that most cannot
turn the other cheek--and I can see the fear in doing so. Its also pretty
guaranteed that in a full blown fight (tondantlem huim nhu khuim bhair
sorchenam) most will be crying mummy. So what is it that moves your bones.

The haldis and the saffrons are always outraged and offended! Nothing

to do. I'm offended that they are offended.
In the meantime, no water, power cuts, Dowry System, Caste System, bad
roads, not enough toilets, too much Hep B, hospitals without rabies
vaccine,
rabid dogs, malnutrition, superstition, corruption, pollution, lack of
housing, filth. Anything else?
