Maharashtra CM has urged the Centre to openup 5000 acres of Saltpan lands in bombay for residential/commercial purpose. Next he will urge the centre, forestdept, etc to openup the Borivali national forests, byculla zoo, azad maidan, shivaji park, hanging gardens, playgrounds, powailake, mangroves, etc for residential/commercial purpose………….The past/present/future CMs of Maharashtra have not done anything to improve infrastructure – industries – job opportunities in the backward regions & districts of Marathwada - Khandesh – Vidharbha – Konkan THE only thing these CMs have been doing is giving more Land, FSIs, TDRs & relaxation of CRZs to the builders lobby in bombay and in the process destroyed the ecology & environment of bombay……….WHATEVER industrial development that you see in Bombay is because of the British – Parsis – Gujaratis………If Bombay is separated from Maharashtra the condition of Maharashtra will become worse than Bihar & Uttar Pradesh…….An important feature of Maharashtra's economy is its pathetic dependence on Bombay…….Bombay accounts for 75 per cent of the industrial activity in Maharashtra and nearly 65 per cent of the factory workers in the State………It is because of Bombay that Maharashtra appears to be India 's most urbanished and industrially advanced State……..But excluding Bombay, even now, Maharashtra is not merely as backward as any other state in India but in certain respects indeed more backward than many other less industrialized states of the country……..The infrastructure of the economy of rural Maharashtra is not much developed, Villages in Maharashtra generally lack adequate means of transport and communication. Particularly road mileage in Maharashtra is found woefully inadequate when compared to that in many less industrialized states in India.
Gujarat govt. during the last 20 years gave more importance to industrial development in different districts of Gujarat so everywhere in Gujarat there is industrial development – reliance oil refineries – pharmaceutical companies – tatananofactories – etc etc etc. Most of the political giants in Maharashtra are builders by default or are associated directly or indirectly with the builders lobby we all know it only the paper thin walls don’t know it.........Approval letters for all aspects of building projects - layouts, water supply, drainage, firefighting, etc are known to be prepared in the builder's office and sent to the approving officers for their signatures, the price having been already paid. Bombay’s watersupply infrastructure publicutilities & other resources is meant for 5 Million people but there are 20 Million people who are competing with each other for this watersupply infrastructure publicutilities & other resources…………….With more and more skyscrapers, mhada buildings, sra buildings, govt. rental buildings coming up everywhere in bombay in the months & years to come expect more & more shortage of watersupply infrastructure publicutilities & other resources………….AND with the rampant broad-day-light encroachment of THE LAST FEW BITS of openspaces, mangroves, saltpanlands, gardens, playgrounds you have a serious environmental disaster waiting to happen in Bombay. Mukesh Ambani built his billion dollar 170 meter high taj mahal named Antillia located at Altamount Road, Cumbula Hill, south bombay & Anil Ambani is also in the process of constructing his billion dollar 150 meter (presently permission is for 66 meter but applications have been moved for 150 meter) high Taj Mahal at Nargis Dutt road, Pali Hill, Bandra West, north bombay. In a country where 300 million people live on less than Rs.20/- a day how it is possible for some people to become billionaires is amazing and in a city like bombay where there is watershortage garbage opengutters inflatedelectricitybills trafficjams crowdedtrains oceanwindblockage airpollution the Ambanis, Lokhandwalas, Hiranandanis, etc etc etc should consider themselves fortunate to get permission for their large building-residential-commercial projects. Kickbacks & commissions from defence deals & govt. contracts. Free flats – free cars – election funds – foreign bank accounts – gold jewellery – etc in return for passing laws – acts – bills – FSIs – TDRs - in favour of builders lobby, corporate lobby, industrialist lobby, Mining Lobby, SEZ lobby, Landacquisition lobby. Breaking the spine of common man by frequently increasing the prices of gas-petrol-diesel-cng-lpg. Not doing anything to protect the last few bits of openspaces – mangroves – lakes – ponds – wells – gardens – playgrounds from being grabbed by slumlords, landmafia, builderslobby. Who is responsible for such behaviour of Politicians ? Before the next Lok Sabha elections, Assembly elections & Muncipal elections begin Team Anna & the people of India need to pressurize the current UPA govt to pass electoral reforms of right to recall & right to reject AND clearance of the janlokpal bill. The Marathi migrants in Bombay got what they wanted. They got all jobs in BMC, Police, Collectorsoffice, citysurveyoffice, rationoffice, talatisoffice, tehsildarsoffice, bestundertaking, town planning dept, urban development dept., mhadaoffices, mmrdaoffices, etc etc etc in Bombay AND 70% of all jobs in the central/state/public sector undertakings in bombay AND 50% of all jobs in private sector in Bombay. THE MARATHI MIGRANTS also achieved their goals of changing the name of the city, museums, landmarks, streets, bridges from British & Parsi given names to Marathi names. THE MARATHI migrants also succeeded in changing all records in BMC, Police, Collectorsoffice, citysurveyoffice, etc from English language to Marathi lanauge…….The Maharashtra govt. does nothing for industrialization of the backward & rural districts in Maharashtra so the only option left with the marathi people in those backward & rural districts is to migrate into bombay for jobs. The Ambanis belong to the merchant caste known as the Modh Banias. Modh are the followers of Modheshwari Maa (also known as Matangi Maa), a form of Amba Mata with eighteen hands. They lived in a town called Modhera in Patan District in the northern part of Gujarat. The name of the town Modhera was adopted by the community living around the temple of Modheshwari Mata. The Protestant Britishers noticed the entrepreneurial & other skills of the Modh Banias and allowed them to settle in other parts of the former Bombay Presidency. Even Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was a modh bania. The modh banias are now scattered around Surat, Bulsar, Navsari, Mandvi, Bharuch, Ankaleshwar, Bardoli, Billimora, Chikhli, Gandevi, Dharampur, Bombay, Varanasi, etc etc etc. In the past century, many folks from the Modh community have migrated to countries such as East Africa, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Australia, Europe, NewZealand, Fiji and the gulf countries. The Catholic Clergy in bombay have programmed the catholic laity to remain in a non-ambitious & non-aggressive mode this explains why you will not come across any catholic in bombay who has the ambition & aggressiveness to become a multi-millionaire or a IAS/IPS officer or a Doctor or a Scientist or a Minister or a Judge or a BankManager or a CA or a Pilot or a Commando, etc etc etc. Because of the daily consumption of the unhealthy & unhigenic bakery maida pavs most catholics in bombay have become ugly & lethargic. There is hardly any Catholic in bombay who has oratory & leadership skills this explains barely 3 or 5 catholics stand for elections. Catholic Missionaries are using their foreign funds to serve poor non-catholics but turn a blind eye to the plight of poor catholics………….Catholic Clergy are selling away vacant church properties and siphoning off the money instead of utilizing vacant church properties for the housing needs of poor catholics……….Catholic Schools not prepared to reserve 25% seats for poor catholics in catholic schools………The only time the Catholic Clergy & Missionaries in India need the poor catholics is when a catholic priest or nun or missionary has been attacked by right wing hindu groups. During World War I, the British recruited several hundred Nagas and sent them to France to work as aides at the front. While in Europe, the Nagas, who had always been fractured by tribal differences, began to think that they should work towards becoming unified in order to protect their common interests. On their return to their homeland in 1918, they organized, and thus began the Naga nationalist movement. After the independence of India in 1947, the area remained a part of the province of Assam. Nationalist activities arose amongst a section of the Nagas, whose Naga National Council demanded a political union of their ancestral and native groups, damaged government and civil infrastructure and attacked government officials and civilians from other states of India . The Union government sent the Indian Army in 1955, to restore order. In 1957, the government began diplomatic talks with representatives of Naga tribes, and the Naga Hills district of Assam and the Tuensang frontier were united in a single political entity that became a Union Territory, directly administered by the Central government with a large degree of autonomy. This was not satisfactory to the tribes, however, and soon agitation and violence increased across the state—included attacks on Army and government institutions, as well as civil disobedience and non-payment of taxes. In July 1960, a further political accord was reached at the Naga People’s Convention to wit: that Nagaland should become a constituent and self-governing state in the Indian union. Statehood was officially granted in 1963. This info on nagaland picked up from the net and inserted here. During the 1960s there were around 10% EastIndians who were in a position to protect around 25% of their agricultural ( www.bombayland.blogspot.com ) lands in bombay but lost the other 75% to Government, Slumlords, landmafia and these 10% EastIndians also bribed officials in govt. depts., collectorsoffice, talathisoffice, tehsildarsoffice, citysurveyoffices, bmc in order to make proper land documents – property cards - 7saat12baraExtractsutaras in their names…….The children of these 10% eastindians in the 1980s & 90s sold away the agricultural lands to the builders lobby and became wealthy and are rejoicing in rum, whisky, brandy, parties, functions, frequent vacations to Goa, etc etc etc…………The other 90% EastIndians who were busy with Alcoholism & Infighting did nothing to protect even 1% of their agricultural lands and lost 100% of all their agricultural lands to the Government, Slumlords & Landmafia and it is these 90% EastIndians who were reduced to a backward class status…………Apart from loss of Agricultural lands & Alcoholism – Jealousy – Infighting the OTHER reasons why EastIndians living in the 189 gaothans/villages of bombay have suffered are :-- … 1- they did not give importance to Education …….2– they did not apply for Government jobs ……….3- their obsession with the unhealthy & unhygienic bakery maida pavs ………4- their non-ambitious & non-aggressive culture …….5- not reading the Word of God i.e. the Bible …..6- the Catholic clergy not utilizing vacant church lands in bombay for the housing needs of eastindians ……7- The catholic clergy not reserving 25% seats in catholic schools & other catholic institutions in bombay for eastindians ……8- Catholic missionaries in bombay not utilizing 50% of their foreign funds for the welfare of eastindians………AND because of ALCOHOLISM & INFIGHTING the EastIndians ( www.east-indians.com ) in the years & decades to come will also loose whatever small residential house that is left with them in their Gaothans / Villages. In Ireland the catholics want to be known as irish catholics and not roman catholics. This is the way it should be. If a catholic is born & brought up in bombay he/she be known as bombaycatholic or born & brought up in goa then goancatholic etc etc etc. In Pyongyang, NorthKorea there are three catholic churches. During the Sunday mass there is no sermons and no communionbread. The mass gets over in 20 minutes. Just 2 or 3 hymns and a short prayer. This system of 20 minutes mass should be followed by all catholic churches in bombay for which the catholic laity will have to take control of their churches and appoint their local priest from their villages who will follow the orders of the laity. The system of the Bishop appointing priests for bombay should be abandoned and it is the local catholic parishoners who should appoint the parish priest. Jorge Monteiro jorgepmtrgmailcom Bombay.
