[Goanet] Goa Elections- Goans don't deserve development?/Bhandare
--- CONVENTION OF THE GOAN DIASPORA FROM GOA INTO THE WORLD Lisbon, Portugal June 15-17, 2007 Details at: http://www.casadegoa.org --- Mr. C.A.Bhandare wrote: Also some vocal brahmins from Margao under the guise of a NGO carried a virulent anti parrikar campaign because they couldnt gain access to corridors of power when parrikar was CM. With Kamat being CM these people have achieved their target. I do not understand why Mr. Bhandare thinks that the "some vocal Brahmins from Margao" would have had any less "access to corridors of power" under Parrikar than they, presumedly, are going to have under Digambar. Parrikar, just like Digambar and the "Margao Brahmins" are all one and the same: Saraswat Brahmins. Whether Hindu or Christian, they are the same, think the same, behave the same way and vote in the same manner). The only difference between Digambar & Manohar is that the former is secular whereas the latter is rabidly communal. The politicos know very well that the Margao electorate is very secular whether Hindu, Christian or Muslim, - Brahmin or otherwise. I agree that Manohar is an excellent manager as far as administration is concerned - though he is quite a tyrant with his subordinates and lacks people skills. However, the fact that he is rabidly communal completely obliterates his good qualities. India is a secular country and so it must remain. It is also the greatest democracy of the world whose constitution is based on the best elements of each of the great constitutions and common laws of the other great nations. The people have spoken, let us hope that the message gets delivered and understood! Parrikar, was simply unaware, that his Lieutenants were trying to keep him in Government, by hook or by crook ? If I don't get majority, I shall not stake claim to forming Government, or words to that effect; 36 hours later or less, it's a volte-face. That's consistent honesty ? A Catholic Goan okayed the controversial BJP Goa VCD...so I am absolved of any wrong doing ? Albeit Parrikar is not the only dishonest MLA, they are all are, to one extent or another...I have personally experienced their theatrics..they can lie through their teeth! So please, spare us the good Cop, bad Cop act; they are the same using different approaches. -- DEV BOREM KORUM. Gabe Menezes. --- CONVENTION OF THE GOAN DIASPORA FROM GOA INTO THE WORLD Lisbon, Portugal June 15-17, 2007 Details at: http://www.casadegoa.org --- Hello Selma: The core BJP votebank is the Hindu bahujan samaj of goa. By voting people like Dhavlikar babush and Viswajeet the goan people have cast their lot with people who want to sell goa. I sincerely hope that goans get collectively punished for their folly of electing such crooks Parrikar was a efficient administrator and a man of personal honesty. So were people like Dr Amonkar (ex health minister) and Vinay Tendulkar ( ex sanvordem Mla) and Satarkar (ex priol mla) and Mathany (ex cortalim) These gentlemen lost because they dint amass wealth by looting goa and distributing a part of it during elections Also some vocal brahmins from Margao under the guise of a NGO carried a virulent anti parrikar campaign because they couldnt gain access to corridors of power when parrikar was CM. With Kamat being CM these people have achieved their target. As far as Thomas Friedman is concerned i am sorry I dont know who is he. Bhandare" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Further more Parrikar should now concentrate on his > core vote bank and stop thinking about development > and > all because like i said goans doont deserve it > --- If the above statement is broken down in a logical sequence, it begs the following questions: a) Who is Parrikar's core vote bank? b) Is Parrikar's core vote bank not interested in the development of Goa? Then what exactly are they interested in? Perhaps they are more interested in the names of Goan roads. Perhaps they are so interested in such things that they don't mind going around and demolishing private property inorder to protest the names of roads. But yeah, hey, forget about the meaty topic of development, when you can appeal to your "core vote bank" by changing the names of roads, airports, cities and demolishing a few mosques on the way. c)Just because Parriker is not in power, Goans don't deserve development?? Can any true blooded Goan wish this for his fellow countrymen and still call himself a Goan? Thomas Friedman said a profound thing in relation to two warring factions, that they must love our children more than we love war. I hope we remember this, when we make divisive statements. We must love our children more than this need to create communal discord. selma Get the free Yahoo! toolbar and rest assured with the added security of spyware protection. http://new.toolbar.yahoo.com/toolbar/features/norton/index.php --- Goanet recommends, and is proud to be associated with, 'Domnic's Goa' - A nostalgic romp through a bygone era.
