[Goanet] Goan Mando

2020-12-19 Thread Frankey Fernandes
Excited to announce my first attempt in production with Goa based cultural
troupe Goychim Lharam.

After the successful screening during the 3rd anniversary of CCRTV and the
virtual fund raiser organised by the North Amercian Goan’s to raise funds
for needy hit by Covid Pandemic in Goa, the first mando Mog, Mogacho Suskar
by Floscy Gracias and troupe Goychim Lharam is out on YouTube.

The three mandes are a result of painstakingly researching about the Mando
and sailing this journey of 8 months of practicing, recording, shooting,
editing and post-production and
performed in an authentic indoor set-up reflecting the traditional aspects
of those days.

showcasing Goa and it's magnificent culture worldwide.

[Goanet] Goan Mando “ADEUS”

2017-10-25 Thread Roland Francis
Gabe, here is a clip of a very nice rendition in a clear village male/female
duet form with an English translation of the lyrics.

At the end it also tells us who composed it and in what context.

A very popular mando that was sung at every farewell party I attended where the
host was leaving Goa. No slight to my Bardez brothers, but such melancholy best
comes out of Salcete throats.
