I agree that Rape is Rape and a serious criminal offence which should not be taken lightly nor must the punishment be diluted because the victim has agreed to marry the perpetrator. We know that our principles and religious beliefs sometimes force our young women caught up in this dilemma brought about by rape to agree to do anything including marry a rapist in order to save face or preserve the Family name. Therefore the rapist must be punished for his crime to dissuade others who would commit such grievous offences against our Weakest and most vulnerable members of society.
