I don't know all the details of Micky's case. But if it is just a case of slapping a govt. servant6 months in jail does sound out of proportion to the crime committed. But the judge has all the facts before him/her and must have taken the right decision. The way some of these government servants behave towards the public,with disdain and insulting behaviour, sometimes one feels like doing the same. Instead ofbeing government servants (i.e. servants of the public) many act as bosses of the public.And there is no redress for the public as government employees have life time employment. Unfortunately court cases even for simple clear cut situations such as this, take years forjustice to be delivered, giving credence to the saying that "justice delayed is justice denied".I sincerely hope that justice in Goa is even handed and in other such incidents justice is delivered swiftly.
