Dear Camillo
What you have written is impossible.
For, if it was so, there would have been Morchas, Chintaks, Baitaks,
Gheraos, Poster Competitions and young student (with or without parent
consent) protest parades. To add icing to the cake, there would also
been the Two Anna circus.
So please, do not spread misinformation.

No such luck for Domingo, who did get an audience with various Chief
Ministers from Pratapsingh Rane, Digambar Kamat to Manohar Parrikar
(in both his terms), but no solution to his problems.
Sorry dear JC what the gentleman says is absolutely true. I vouch for it. We
have all the documents to prove it and have approached the S. Goa collector,
the Chief Secretary and handed over our objections to it in writing to them.
Dabolim would probably be able to accommodate all the facilities needed for
Goa forever if this land was utilised. The state government promised land to
the AAI, on the basis of which, the Central governmetn invested Rs.600
crores in building a new terminal. The land of 36,800 sq. metres was
accordingly notified by the then state government. Inexplicably some time
later, it was denotified at a meeting headed by DIgambar Kamat in the
presence of Mauvin Godinho and Jose Philip D'Souza of the NCP who was the
then Revenue Minister, on the condition that 70,000 sq. metres of land that
had been identified opposite the airport be acquired urgently for the
purpose of city side facilities (Copies of the Minutes of that meeting are
available with us). The conversion sanads were given to Bernard Costa's
builder even before identifying the 70,000 alternate land. He is now
rushing through his project Two years later, believe or not, the
administration are still searching for the massive parcel of 70,000 sq.
metres of land, while Bernard Costa and his builder crony run laughing all
the way to the bank. We have found out that all land opposite the airport is
in the name of Defence and WE have all the relevant documents in our
possession. And we are making all out efforts in this regard. Tomorrow we
are meeting the Governor. In fact, I have put this information about the
denotification of available land on the goanet, viz the press releases of
GFDO.
