It is good, that Benaulim MLA Mickky Pacheco has taken a stand against
Mega-Projects, recently at the Betalbatim Gramsabha. I request that he takes
this one village further and puts in some sense into specific corrupt Colva
Panchayat Members, who are blinded by huge incentives via Mega-Projects, at
the cost of destroying my beautiful village. Also, I would like to remind
Mickky, that he had taken a similar stand in 2007 at the Benaulim Gramsabha
and would like to know, if there was any positive action taken by him on the
same. Finally, I wonder if the MLA from the Neighboring Constituency of
Navelim i.e. PWD Minister Mr. Churchill Alemao has done anything to stop the
Mega-Projects; surely as a person who once formed the Save Goa and also
reportedly is concerned about Global Warming, he should have done
something!!
