Hi Samir,

Thanks for posting this report of an independent inquiry into church attacks.
This is the kind of news item that I am talking about. We need such a report
regarding the funeral incident. Please note the three excerpts below which get
at the truth, wherever it leads:

QUOTE
A former High Court judge says it appears that rightwing Hindu groups - the
Bajrang Dal, Sri Rama Sene and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) - are to blame.

Based on meetings with hundreds of witnesses, a commission headed by Justice B
K Somasekhara states this in an interim report; the final report is expected
later this year.
UNQUOTE

QUOTE
Worrying for the government, Somasekhara also says that top police officers,
district administration and other authorities appear to have colluded with the
right-wing organisations in these attacks - and that authorities did not treat
the incidents sympathetically when alerted.
UNQUOTE

UNQUOTE
Acknowledging that a few of the attacks were self-inflicted or imaginary,
Somasekhara's report also recommends that all criminal cases filed in
connection with these attacks so far be withdrawn to promote harmony.
QUOTE

Now we need to know from the full inquiry report answers to the following
questions:

1. How many total number of church attacks have occurred over how long?
2. How many attacks were directed by the extremist Hindu groups?
3. How many attacks were conducted in collusion with the local authorities?
4. How many attacks were self-inflicted?
5. How many attacks were imaginary?
6. What were the reasons for the Hindu extremist attacks, collusion by the
local authorities, self-inflicted attacks and imaginary attacks?
7. Who were the people/organizations involved in committing the self-inflicted
attacks?
8. Who were the people/organizations responsible for reporting the imaginary
attacks as true?

Cheers,

Santosh
