 Dear Miguel Barretto,
I appreciate your concern for Goa and our Motherland Goa. But you blaming all
the Goans who are having parties, boozing and having a good time is a bit too
far fetched and totally unreasonable.
Yes, boozing, partying and merry making is a Goan Culture, and we need to do
this to reward ourselves for our had work and to celebrate our successes. We
Goans who are outside Goa cannot be expected to wear mournful faces and do
fasting and penance for our brothers in Goa. Yes we sympathize with them, but
they are the ones who are un-concerned, perpetually sitting on their hands and
not doing anything appropriate to better their miserable situations. In short,
the Goans in Goa are dumb and they have brought this upon themselves which they
well deserve. Yes they seem to be comfortable, immune or maybe even blind to
what is happening and what is going to happen. For an example, the FREE GOA
petition that I put up on change.org http://chn.ge/2BjKAls  has till today the
least amount of signatures from Goans in Goa and more signatures from Goans
Overseas. We can lead a horse to the water ...
Goans in Goa are themselves having a party all the time. They eat, drink and
enjoy more than we, the Goans overseas. Once they start starving and get pulled
out into the streets and burnt alive, that is the time they will open their
eyes. Now their tummies are full and they have various philosophical ideas why
not to do anything about their status. Once the tummies are starved and there
is threat to their very existence, their minds will probably open up and there
will be a revolution - like the French Revolution.
Till then, let us lay back, sympathise in our spare time and say VIVA GOA that
used to be our Motherland. I myself sacrificed the prime of my youth in Goa for
Goa and Goans and left for Canada totally frustrated by the Goan attitude
before I got too old to provide a good life to my wife and kids. God helps
those who help themselves.

Goans are in a compromised state. You can't blame the commonman who just
wants to live a normal live and is continuously trying to find a way to
better his living. Unfortunately for goans, this has been our unfortunate
fate and Nash has rightly said worse is still to come.

I don't think it will be like a French revolution as goans would be vastly
outnumbered but some sort of civil unrest may happen before we are finished
for good.

Our only hope is intervention of UN or the world powers to give justice and
I see the Free goa petition as the only ray of hope aimed towards this end.

As regards to goans in Goa, I have had favourable response from most in
goa. I am sure if some ground level grass root effort is made the petition
to the UN will go viral. We need to keep pushing the petition and not give
up because of the few Judases around.

Just my view.

Re: [Goanet] Pompous Foolish ignorant Blind Goans?? ignore Goa's destruction/ Mourning and Sorrow ........but ready to organise proxy Dances, festivals

2018-07-26 Thread Venantius J Pinto
In General:
Logics are often not that simple; besides often too hard to abide with.

When someone says Goans are this or that, any self-respecting sentient must
not see it as a tar, a wash, a smear on all Goans. Even if it may be, we
cannot fight conjectures (or what we think), and should not. That form of
argumentation is of the street kind. It helps to know the writer or to at
least say, I'd like you to clarify this for me.

Too often too many of us want our words to resonate a certain way and
we construct ideas and notions that come from some righteousness. As a
people, we come seem to unite when there is sufficient fear in the mix.

Why is it so -- If we are all that, and possibly having absorbed the fruits
of the Enlightenment, The Age of Reason, Portuguese ideas and ways of
being, Other ways of being, including all that the idea of India has on
offer -- yes, yes the Bible, the Upanishads, the Vedas, Manguesha,
Dnyaneshwar, Chokamela, Baginibai, Brahmo Samaj, Goan poets and writers,
Bede Griffiths (Swami Dayananda), [and not everyone's cup of tea/chau]).
Why?

And note the "daya" in Bede Griffiths, Dayananda. Daya + Ananda. And
exactly what is being sought in the rigors of our unbridled angsts. Are we
truly a people kind to ourselves. Here I am only talking about those who
have made it and upon the rise. So a Marlon or a Herman do what they do.
They initiate as others have. No one can begrudge them.

Change only takes place when people unite to fight any ills. To do so one
must feel a certain way. But all cannot summon the urge to get involved.
Someone may start a petition, but many will not align with it. Perhaps they
have their reasons and their fears. Like the writer said: Leading a horse
to the water. What if the horse peed in the water. Oxli gott.

But we must have the stomach to accept that a portion of our own does not
see through a collective eye. Perhaps they never will, but contort in anger
and friustration; and hubris. Things rise and fall on aspirations.

Those who are abroad, and those among those who are doing well, in my
opinion (and I live in NY, and it's not easy at all) should simply be. You
did, you tried. Some of you were the same who chortled how cheap it was to
stay at a hotel someplace with family. But most Goans in Goans, and I mean
the articulate, etc., cannot afford that. I know a couple of writers who
would love a paid trip someplace. But things are not the same for the many.
There is no real parity in real terms, nor is there parity in the anguish
and among the anguished on various shores.

It's much better to simply acknowledge to oneself who one is, and lend one
mind, be a voice of reason, be thoughtful when spending $10 on a movie for
two when spending $8 for six on ice cream sundaes. Or for that matter
expensive lingerie. Oh and wooden rosaries for good measure.

We have stellar individuals, education wise who will never cease the gross
opportunity to attach. They married well, children doing well, so what
demons do they have?

Praise your acumen, and possibly the God behind it. Seek Goanity in the
various nooks you see. Make contributions by doing and also not doing
certain things. So, nothing that hurts Goa, including what is available in
the market, in the stores. To do that needs awareness, and begins with who
you are, what makes you feel Goan and do you think you think as one.

Cheers

Correction :- few Handfull Goans ,..not all

Hi All
Have you ever seen a Human being / Righteous Goan or simple common sence Goan
, who dances, organises parties, festivals in UK, USA, Austrialia, Europe...
while his own mother/ Motherland is being ripped off, openly destroyed and
is on the verge of total destruction ???

Very soon Goans in UK will have Goan Day on 5th Aug , as other NULL Blind
Goans will do in other part of the world where they will dance, booze, and
behave as though Nothing is wrong in Goa and the suffering Goans in Goanor
will they raise concerns about the loot and plunder of Goa .and how to get
together to save Goa before too late.!

What a Pride ??? and honor and self proclaimation/ false fame they seek
. to fool whom !!

They say "Idiots" is much better word then "Blind double mouth
Judas/Pharisees "

So i just pray on God:-- May these Blind JUDAS be rebuked by God soon
.and may God too ignore their sorrow, cries and hopelessness as Goans in
Goa are going through , because Goans living in other part of the world have
become BLIND JUDAS .
My God do to them the same when they need Help or need someone to help them.
Amen.

As for us , we will SEEK Gods HELP ( Way , truth and life) and also SEEK
HELP from those Nations, allies to save Goa before too Late. And we will
prevail in the end.
Amen

NOTE: I don't trust NIZGOENKAR - DOUBLE FACE JUDAS , WHO LIES EXPOSED
