[Goanet] Presidential reference & Judgment
It was an amusing event to see Kapil Sibal smiling and getting garlanded as if congress government got permission from SC's judgment on presidential reference (delivered today at 2 pm) to loot and plunder the exchequer!! If one reads the judgment carefully, the FINAL PAGE of the judgment clearly says, 'If any natural resource is given for commercial exploitation to private entities, then it has to be by the method of auction. Any other method adopted in this regard will be considered unconstitutional and arbitrary.' No media mentioned this which is very strange. And coal allocation is exactly that, even CAG clearly says it is an illegal benefit to private companies. However, public must also understand that by delivering this judgment Honorable Chief Justice of India Justice Kapadia, who is retiring on coming Friday i.e. 28th Sept. 2012, very wisely bought a life time insurance cover from congress by bailing the government out of the mess it is in! Soon CJ Kapadia will be seen in a new avatar as governor or envoy representing India. We all must thanks to an over oblige congress party in general and this government in particular. Frederick, my answers (including one question) to your questions are: 1) If you go by the list of scams, congress party has 94 reported scams - not aware of unreported scams (in the appended list, you truncated the list retaining only 5 scams!), and BJP has 11 reported scams- not aware of unreported scams (in the appended list, you preferred to retain the list without truncating!). By numbers congress tops the list of corruptions. 2) Who according to you is communal and who is not? 3) As regarding Styles: One is Italia other is indigenous (India)! Should political corruption in India be interpreted as a Congress-versus-BJP thingy? It's like believing that of the two parties, one is communal while the other is not! The rest are ALL bhaille. The above question to FN is a non-starter by way of revisionistic misrepresentation. Iranis, Pakis and Ruskis are just as "indigenous" as the Greeks, 'Britishers', Purtuguez and Italians. Small mercy that 'fowl' language was not used this time around. jc
