*India Post releases Special Postal Cover on Anthony De Sa on his Birth Centenary* The Birth Centenary of a famous Cuncolim born Tiatrist Anthony De Sa was celebrated in a grand way by Tiatr Academy of Goa in collaboration with Cuncolim Municipal Council at Cuncolim on 1st March, 2015. On this occasion, Indian Post released a Special Postal Cover on Anthony De Sa, which was sponsored by TAG at a glittering function held at CMC Hall, Cuncolim, at the hands of Post Master General, Goa Region Shri Charles Lobo in the presence of Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Manuel Fernandes, Parish Priest of Cuncolim, Guest of Honour Shri Landry Mascarenhas, Chairperson, Cuncolim Municipal Council, President TAG, Prince Jacob, Vice President TAG, Joe Rose, and Member Secretary TAG, Jose Alexandre Rodrigues. Prince Jacob welcomed the Guests. The Chief Guest Mr. Charles Lobo who himself is a big Tiatr enthusiast, addressed the gathering and also promised to release such covers after the names of more such Tiatrists in future, provided he remains in Goa. Fr. Manuel also spoke on the occasion and said he knew the priest brother of Anthony De Sa who was a powerful orator of Sermons. Mr. Landry in his address said he was very proud to name the road after Anthony De Sa during his tenure as a Chairperson of CMC as he too hails from the same ward of Anthony De Sa i.e Dandora. Vice President Joe Rose who is also a famous Tiatr personality, while giving Vote Of Thanks recollected his association with Anthony De Sa when he first stepped on the Tiatr Stage as a youngster. This function was followed by unveiling of Plaque naming the road leading to Anthony De Sa’s house at Dandora, Cuncolim as *“Anthony De Sa Rosto”.* Fr. Manuel and Mr. Landry along with Prince Jacob garlanded the plaque in the presence of other TAG members, dignitaries, Tiatrists and a large number of well-wishers and family members of Anthony De Sa. In the evening session, a Lenten Tiatr “Tumchim Monam Bodlat” written and directed by Ligorio Fernandes was staged by TAG at CMC Hall, Cuncolim, which was well attended. *(Jose Alexandre Rodrigues)* Member Secretary *Attached: 2 photographs*
