The Goa government has been unable to take a firm stand on any issue.
Whether on the River Princess, the High Security Number Plates, SEZ’s, the
new Mapusa Hospital and now on the Casinos. The administration lacks any
direction or commitment.
It is a travesty that this government and its legal brains do not understand
the meaning of off shore. The decision to shift three Casinos towards
Ribandar is uncalled for. It will disturb the local fishermen besides being
a nuisance we can do without. Mr. Chief Minister, while Ribandar has been
asking for a football ground you are sending us three casinos to play on.
The Casino issue will end up with the formation of yet another government
committee to study the issue. This is how this government has shelved and
gambled from taking a decision on every issue it is confronted with.
