You're right, Joe. The method I described is a rule of the thumb for
middle-aged men. Apart from age, gender, physical frame (small,
medium, large) and even race are taken into account to arrive at a
more scientific conclusion. For example, Africans and Caucasians are
known to have better bone density than Asians.

But you're on the right track if you maintain your current weight.
Don't worry, be happy!

Thanks RKN,

Thank God!!
What a relief!!

Well, in this case, I think I am in the outside zone "overweight"
As I am 184cms & 84kgs

Thanks once again.

N.B.
I think age of a person should also be taken into account
e.g. A young friend of mine 21, 185cms & 93kgs
It seems he has only 1kg excess of ideal wt. but for his age, I think 93kgs wt.
is far too
much.

If you're not a number-cruncher, the easiest way to find your ideal
weight is to convert your height into centimetres and subtract 100.
The answer is your ideal weight in kg.

Example: If you're 1.6 m (5'3") tall, your ideal weight is 160 (cm) -
100 = 60 kg.

Cheers,
RKN
