AT LITERATI When the heart speaks, words are just not enough. Explore how music helped the Sufi way of thought transcend beyond the dichotomy of words. A two-and-a-half hour journey through music and stories… across centuries… across countries… Demystify the mysticism. Experience the one movement that went beyond boundaries of religion, caste, language, belief and said unabashedly that all is indeed just one. THE LOOKING GLASS, is an initiative towards integrating Arts and Education at the most natural, organic and humane level. Through Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts, we endeavour to create an ambience that perpetuates the natural development of an individual, sensitising him/her, and ultimately helping the individual embark upon a journey to finding the Self. As a cofounder for The Looking Glass, she has toured the US with her works and conducted range of workshops for children and adults in both, India and abroad. Her love for arts and its potential took new life as she headed the Arts Academy for Salaam Bombay Foundation, NGO helping build life skills amongst slum kids. She has been the resident counsellor at Shishuvan School for middle and high school. She has conducted year-long sessions in enhancing communication skills for Walsingham School. As a counsellor, she has worked with the pediatric ward for cancer patients at Tata Hospital and at the rehabilitation facility at the Massina Hospital. ANURAAG DHOUNDEYAL Anuraag is a musician and a music educator, who believes in the potential of music to transcend all boundaries. As a Hindustani classical singer, he has been spreading the joy of music with his original compositions interwoven with Sufi poetry through his initiative, Indicus, the band. As a co-founder of The Looking Glass, Anuraag has reached out to audiences in India and abroad with workshops on understanding art better and appreciating better arts. His passion for music and consistent endeavours have allowed him to work with leaders from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London as an artist and a music educator.
