Cool! So what beef do we have about the environmental impact about the resource-gobbling, garbage-generating luxury hotels along the coast? On an even more serious note, the problems that Goa suffers from -- in terms of information gaps, a dysfunctional transport system (including to the airport), and overall badly organised systems -- is obviously extracting a huge price. FN, I don't have any updates from the airport but I do have an update from Mervyn. He sent me an email from the hotel he is being put up at. Apparently he loves it and wouldn't mind being delayed for a while longer !! So guess Goa does know a thing or two about hospitality and tourism :-) take care, selma
[Goanet] Snow, airports, flights...
Because of the snow in London, the airports were closed yesterday, and some flying back home had uncertain moments over whether their flights would take off or not. Goanetter Wilfred Maciel was around, and apparently hit by a 24-hour delay. The flight was to have left this morning (Dec 2) at dawn, but the earlier day's flight had not yet left London. Any updates on the flights situation, please share it here. FN PS: Stuck holidayers were accomodated at a hotel in South Goa, but the local agents for one of the charter companies was quite abrupt and said it was not their duty to inform guests about such delays. Given Goa's poor transport facilities to Dabolim airport, one could only imagine what a hassle this could result in. Frederick Noronha :: +91-9822122436 :: +91-832-2409490
