Are there any Goa Ministers who are not corrupt?

If there are then could you please name them?

I was all looking forward to go with my family and friends to
Swindon to support the Goan festival at Swindon a distance
roughly about 50 or so miles.
When I came to know that the Swindon Goans were going to invite
Babush Monserrate as their chief guest  I was saddened and lost my enthusiasm
to go to Swindon, I cannot understand  how these committee of Goans would
invite such a notorious minister from Goa to grace such an occasion.
I can only surmise that these Goans are recent migrants to these shores
and their loyalty lies with rogues and corrupt personalties of Goa
I do hope they have a change of heart and invite either their local
minister who represent their constituency or their local councillor
Ignatius Fernandes..

It's good to know that there are some people in Diaspora who disapprove of some
of our Goans and Goan Associations, felicitating our corrupt Politicians, I
congratulate both Agilio Perreira and Iganatius Fernandes for the stand they
have taken. It is the least we can do to show solidarity with our Goans
activists who are fighting to save Goa from the degeneration caused by our inapt
corrupt politicians, hope more Diaspora Goans will join in the boycott of our
Goan politicians.

[Goanet] Swindon Goan Festival: Babush Monserrate to be Chief Guest!?

2010-06-18 Thread Carmen Miranda
Dear Alfred
You asked " Who is going to pay for his 1st class tkt: swindon Goans (most
of them
are, reportedly, not very flush with money), Goan taxpayers or his
flunkeys in Goa? "

I was told in Goa that Babush Monserate, as result of his job as a Goa
minister is now a billionaire! I suppose he will pay for his own first class
ticket to Swindon! I had no idea the ministers in Goa had such good
salaries! Had I known, I would have looked for a job as a politician in
Goa!

Seriously, I think the goans in Swindon either have no conscience or are
bent on celebrating the downfall and ruin of Goa!

Everyone knows how the current Goa government is ruining Goa and everyone
knows these ministers are corrupt, imcompetent and ignorant. It is indeed
appalling to celebrate a Goan Festival with Chief Guests of such calibre!

This is sums up what we call duplicity of Goans. When it comes to their
personal vested interests they will glorify the crooks and in the same
breath condemn them just for public consumption.

Looks like the much criticised "political class" from Goa is quicker to
realise that there's a community building vacuum, compared to all the
bleeding-hearts that proclaim a love for Goa! FN

We have been asking all Goans and Goan Organisations to boycott all our Goan
politicians, first it were the Kuwati Goans, than came the UAE Goans and now
it's the Swindon Association that has invited Don Monserrate to be Chief Guest,
when will our overseas Goans ever realize that we have to show our solidarity
with our Goan brethren who are fighting to save Goa from the clutches of our
corrupt, inapt and degrading politicians in Goa.

Our politicians have given us Goans nothing but heartaches, so why do we honour
these thugs and hypocrites ? Do we not have any good social workers,
environmentalists, academicians or Writers to honour ? I do plead with my Goan
people once again to please boycott all the function that our politicians attend
thus showing solidarity with our Goans who are fighting to save Goa.
