Vincy and Eddie D'sa were both my seniors - their brother Cecil was my
junior. You are a cousin?
I believe their sister Elaine's daughter is married to the son of
Kibaki Mwai's son. Mwai is sharing the leadership of the Govt in Kenya.

Dear Gabe,
You are right on both counts. Eddie, Vincy, Cecil are my first cousins.
It's Eileen not Elaine; and Vanessa is the other sister.
Regards,
Tony

Then there is Gerry Nazareth, retired Judge (Hongkong) Nephew of the
QC and his daughter who is head of BBC in house
Thank you very much for that. It was indeed an unforgivable error on my
part considering that the QC Nazareth family and mine have close inter
linkage. Didn't Gerry play a key role in the handover of Hong Kong to China?

Thanks to you and Miguel who has been very encouraging in my quest to
remember the Great people of Moira.

Hi,

Yes Gerry was on the team of lawyers who were working on the draft for
the handover of HK to the Chinese. I knew him when we were in HK - at
that time Victor Menezes was an SVP with Citibank Hong kong. He got
fast tracked because John Reid took a liking to him.

junior. You are a cousin?

 Dear Miguel,
Let me thank you very much for that input to my list of Moira's unsung
 'eminentisimi'
While I am aware that Mr. Manuel D'Cruz was the founder of St. Xavier's and
indeed, I have often visited his place as his son Bernard was a good friend,
I always thought that he was a Nachinolkar so that is why I did not include
him. Crispin of course, slipped my mind so my apologies.
I would emphasize once again as I said in my earlier post a list of this
type cannot cover every one and like in Wiki, I am trying to add to this
list. For starters, I also missed out Jerry Pinto, Venita Coelho and Frank
 Correia (thanks Lindray Veloso)
Somthing tells me that the Toronto 'trout' and the Toledo 'samaki' would
also like to add CJ and KK. I will leave this decision to my fellow
 Moidekars.
the Academica records are at present 'unavailable'. So I will have to do
some research into the archives of the church.
I am forwarding this letter both to Moira Net and Goanet.

over the school and managed it till the Archdiocese insisted on having
either that school or set up one of its own. My gestation period was almost
 entirely in Moira. So there!

Crispin Lobo [formerly a priest in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra] is a
well known leader of Watershed conservation at the Indo-German WOTR. Google
it and see what you get. Fredrick Noronha could also add to this.

It is said that Moira produced great philosophers. My father used to quote
them but I cannot recall their names now.

Check out some archives in the Academica and the Communidade. You may find
the Pir who gave Pirazonn its name and find the Muslim connection of why
 Moira has Moir in it.

Who better to help you thaen fellow Moidekar, Dr.Teotonio de Souza, former
Director of Xavier Centre for Historical Research? He is a great man ...and
 thorougly honest to a fault.

 PS

Personally, I would delete the name of Architect Charles Correia from the
 Greats
 1. The Kala Academy front rows go under water due to seepage.
 2. The Verem Villas are illegal ...CRZ and tenancy case that is still in
 court.
 3. The sewage treatment plant of Cidade de Goa is woefully inadequate.

All three projects are designed by Charles ...as is the Regional Plan 2021
that is going to bomb one of these days.

 Hi All,
Let me take this opportunity to also felicitate many of Moira's unsung
celebrities who hide their light beneath a bushel. Of course a list of this
type cannot be exhaustive and all encompassing, but it would be great to
hear of any others to augment and supplement this list.
