A case of creating your own belief and then trying to support it, never mind
about bending the truth.

The Pope was clear about his opinion. Now everybody is rushing to ‘damage
control’ by speaking for him.

If he was misquoted or misinterpreted he would have said it.

Foolish me, here was I thinking the Catholic Church would want what the pope
wants.

Maybe god should send an amendment like a change to a constitution or something:

This is Peter (the Rock) upon which I shall build my church until the day comes
when the church and the rock don’t have to act as one.

The Church? Or Pope Francis?
BBC seems to suggest that it's the Pope's stand
"The Catholic Church teaches while homosexual acts are sinful, homosexual
tendencies are not".
"It is the first time the Pope has thrown his backing for civil unions for
same sex couples. But it's not a change from his earlier position: as
Cardinal in Latin America he was against same-sex marriages but for civil
unions."

"There is a wing of the Catholic Church which is very uncomfortable that he

[Verbatim typing, might contain errors in recording what was said] On
BBC Radio. This is their view.
