I have been in situations where I need to discard junk from my vehicle and there is no pace to do so. On more than one occasion, the Goan chauffeur has looked at me as if I were insane when instructed to return my unwanted material to the car. I will agree with you though that the Indian tourists are 10 times worse than the Goan as they feel they have the right to junk their trash anywhere. Bottom line, the city council or the tourist board has to provide facilities for trash disposal. Else you will be sending us such pictures for the next 50 years. Mervyn

Our villages are not faring any better. Last evening I was in Siolim for a photo shoot of some of my favourite locales. Sad to say, it is becoming increasingly difficult in Goa to find a landscape shot that is unsullied by ugly concrete. I have seen so many sights fall one by one. The latest is the luscious sight of the chapel in Bamanvaddo-Siolim now forever ruined. http://www.parrikar.org/images/samples/chapel-bamanvaddo-1.jpg http://www.parrikar.org/images/samples/chapel-bamanvaddo-2.jpg r QUESTION: Looks like a ground plus 3 - in a remote village? -- DEV BOREM KORUM Gabe Menezes.
