[Just what are you saying, Doctor?] Goa MP files FIR against channel, calls it frame-up RAJU NAYAK Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 0122 hours IST PANAJI, DECEMBER 20: In the eye of the storm after allegedly seen demanding money to sanction funds under the MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD), a sting operation conducted by a news channel, Goa MP Churchill Alemao has alleged in an FIR filed at the Tilak Marg police station in New Delhi that he has been framed. Alemao alleged that the reporter and another person, allegedly representing an NGO, visited him four times requesting funds for a public library in Goa. He claimed that he had offered to sell them land for the purpose for a token price of Rs 3 lakh against its market worth of Rs 15 lakh. Claiming that every time the duo visited him he was in the company of four of his Delhi friends, Alemao has alleged that the duo tampered with the footage the video with malicious intent to and tarnish his image. Neureos 1/2 kg flour, 2 tablespoons ghee, a pinch of salt For the filling: 1/2 kg. sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1 half ripe coconut grated fine, 100 g. cashew nuts (chopped very fine), 100 g. raisins, 2 tablespoons ghee, 6 cardamoms (powdered) oil for frying Mix flour, salt and ghee well, add just enough water to knead into a small dough. Keep aside. Heat sugar and water till a syrup is formed. Add the grated coconut, ghee and nuts. When the mixture has thickened, add raisins and cardamom powder. Remove from fire after the mixture turns quite dry. Cool and keep aside. Divide the dough into small balls, roll out into thin rounds, put a spoonful of the coconut filling on each round, wet the edges, press down to form half-moon shapes. Trim edges preferably with a cutter and deep fry in hot oil. Here is another version of this recipe: Channa dal Neoros: 2 cups wheat flour, 1 cup water, salt to taste, oil for frying, 2 cups channa dal, 1 cup grated coconut, ½ cup jaggrey, 3-4 cardamoms (powdered) Method: Clean and boil the dal. Drain. Add jaggery, grated coconut and powdered cardamom and cook over a low flame, stirring constantly. When done, remove from the heat and keep aside. Knead the wheat flour with water and salt. Shape the dough into small balls and roll them out into big puris. Place the puran filling in the center of each, wet the edges with water, turn over the flap and neatly trim the edges.
