Thanks Jason.
Now I have no excuse. Got to get to work on those sample java apps!

[google-appengine] Re: I've reached my quota, only I have this great new name for my app

2009-04-29 Thread Dag

Jason,
  Thanks for the reply.
This is probably still undecided within GOOG but it seems you are
saying that if I enable billing for my applications, I will then get
additional slots for applications.
I would like to increase my max apps count to 20. Do I have to enable
billing for all the apps or just one?
How many new application slots do I get for each application I enable
billing for?

I think anyone who is committed to developing on this platform long-
term will appreciate knowing how they can manage / increase their
application number.

Thanks!

[google-appengine] Re: I've reached my quota, only I have this great new name for my app

2009-04-25 Thread Dag

Hey Jeff,
A couple of weeks ago I asked you to up my quota as well and I
haven't heard anything from you. I used the "Reply to author" link in
this group. I never used that link before. Did you even get my
request?
Could you increase my quota as well? I have sample python websites
that I want to duplicate in java.

Thanks!

[google-appengine] Re: Announcing BDBDatastore, a replacement datastore for App Engine

2009-04-18 Thread Dag

Very cool, but I don't know if this will solve the 'practical lock in'
problem for GAE python. It may be hard to find a hosting provider that
offers django along with long-running java processes.

Still, GAE-J developers now have a reasonable alternative and maybe
some of your efforts can be applied to an all python version for BDB
(or zodb).

Thanks!

[google-appengine] Can't log into GAE using Opera 9.64 on mac

2009-03-05 Thread Dag

I tried my site smw.appspot.com and www.hypetape.com/login with the
latest version of Opera

After entering email and password I get redirected back to same page
with blank textfields (start over)

gmail, calendar, groups, all log in ok. It seems to just be app
engine.

BTW, gmail looks great on this new browser. Way better than the new
web mail the Opera folks are rolling out!
