[google-appengine] 100% task queue failure on appid:curv8ture-job-queue

2013-07-14 Thread Stuart Mitchell
Hi my tasks on the default queue are not running at all.

I can run them if I manually click on them but they are otherwise not
running.

Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

[google-appengine] Excessive instance startup on app.

2014-05-11 Thread Stuart Mitchell
On Friday 5/9/14 at around 16:30 NZDT (GMT +12) we had the number of
instances at our application (mediawise-job-queue) exponentially increase
(over 100 instances) with no increase in load. Ending up with a final
instance bill of
Frontend Instance Hours
$0.05/Hour 320.74 28.00 292.74 $14.64
Discounted Instance Hour
$0.05/Hour 50.00 0.00 50.00 $2.50

We only managed to stop this behaviour when we disabled the app and then re
enabled it.

During this time we had our application shut down (as we exceeded the
limit) and were charged an additional $15.00.

I have submitted a billing issue (in the hopes that someone actually reads
those) and I will do a production issue too.

I guess I'm posting here to let people know that if you get this behaviour
(a rogue scheduler??) that the enable and disable action seems to work.

2014-07-09 Thread Stuart Mitchell
Hi all for the past week or so I have been seeing ALOT of these errors in a
previously well functioning app.

I haven't updated the app for 54 days so it isn't new code, has anyone else
seen this problem.
