Thanks i will try that, now i just added

[google-appengine] Re: Display Blob attribute (image) in template file

2008-09-29 Thread fedekun

You cant display the image itself because it would look like that, instead
you create an Image class which reads a key and displays the image as an
image with a png header.

[google-appengine] static files problem

2008-09-26 Thread fedekun
Hi, im having a problem :(
I have all static files inside stylesheets folder. inside that folder there
are some html and css files and 2 more folders.
when i run
appcfg.py update myAppFolder/

it says

TemplateDoesNotExist: index.html

I didnt have that error with the SDK :/ my app.yaml is

handlers:
- url: /stylesheets
  static_dir: stylesheets

index.html is inside stylesheets folder and to print the template i use

path = os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), 'stylesheets/index.html')

i dont think i have to change to /stylesheets/index.html because i copied it
from the guestbook tutorial...

Thanks in advance!

[google-appengine] Only Once per user

2008-09-26 Thread fedekun
Hi, i want to save some settings for each user, and the way i'm doing it so
far is

title = self.request.get("title")

result = UsersSettings.gql("WHERE owner=:1",
users.get_current_user().nickname())
if result.count() == 0:
result = UsersSettings()

result.title = title
result.owner = users.get_current_user().nickname()

db.put(result)

What i want to do is create it if it doesnt exists or else modify it, but i
cant figure out why it does not modify it, it creates it but i cannot modify
it :(
