I would recommend you check on your script. I got experenice with wrong
script and hit the high cpu meter.

I got the experence from my VPS (which not in Amazon) to Amazon simpleDB.
It's really slow to me.

Unless host in Amazon EC2 and connect simpleDB.

Maybe the datastore and appengine in the same location, it will get no
difference to local database.

I am really appreciated that google provide the decent service "App Engine".
Even it only with Python which I am not familiar with.

But the scale structure can be see in "App Engine".

*Private IP(hostname) support for each application will be wonderful.*

Urlfetch is slower than direct connect. Anyway thanks a lot.

I get some problem with i18n too.

for example,
msgid "Photo upload"
msgstr "圖片上傳"

It still trans to "Photo upload".
