Maybe its a hard lessen to learn, but they don't notify for every little
change. There are almost certainly changes of somesort going on somewhere
in the system, pretty much consistently (on a daily basis). Just that the
vast majority you never know about.

If they notified 1) the stream of updates would be overwhelming, and
probably wouldnt have enough information to completely comprehend the
implications which, 2) would just make them ineffectual.

They also seem to do so very carefully and progressively. It's been a few 
days I have some apps with instances in both versions. Usually there is a 
SDK pre-release around the same time though. Anyway I think many changes 
they do are not even mentioned in the release notes as it's about things we 
don't have control over...

They always roll out new versions, and you have no control over it.
Its a fact of life with appengine.

Starred the feature request, sounds very logic and good, but it's more than 
a year there already

to have a optin 'stable' channel, to get less frequent updates.

Do you know if there is some documentation about it anywhere ???
Can i disable this ?? I provide a paid service to customers, and 
reliability is a critical issue !!! 
I must say i'm not feeling too happy about the new undocumented version of 
GAE being tested on my app, specially without informing me about this prior 
to applying it !
Can someone at google please provide some information about this issue ?
