reset project repo?

2009-12-20 Thread martman
Is it possible to have your project svn repo reset(everything
removed)? I would like mine(aces) reset if possible.

Thanks

XBMC project hosting plugin access to illegal content on Google Code

2009-12-20 Thread James Rhodes
I honestly could not find any kind of report system for projects on
Google Code, so I'm posting this here hoping that someone with the
ability to do something might see it.

The XBMC project provides users with access to illegally ripped TV
shows through it's plugin system. Such illegal plugins are endorsed
by the XBMC project from what I've discussed with them on IRC and the
fact that they are hosting the plugins which provide lists to illegal
content themselves on their Google Code subversion repository (which
can be found
http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-addons/source/browse/trunk#trunk/plugins/video).
You'll notice that some of those plugins provide access to legal
services, while others provide lists to illegal content, such as
specific TV series hosted on Megavideo and other locations (e.g.
Mythbusters and Family Guy are both examples of plugins that provide
direct access to illegally hosted content).

I've talked with the people on their IRC channel and they have no
intention of removing the infringing content. However, since this is
a clear violation of copyright, I thought it best to attempt to
contact Google about the matter and get them to resolve it. Since
there is no other way to report illegal content other than sending a
DCMA notice (and since I am not the copyright owner of this content, I
cannot do that), I have sent this email to the mailing list.

Hopefully this infringing content can be removed soon.

Regards, James.

You can reset it yourself, by clicking the link at the bottom of your

Re: XBMC project hosting plugin access to illegal content on Google Code

2009-12-20 Thread David Anderson
Sorry, Google Code cannot act upon copyright infringement claims without a
properly filed DMCA infringement notification. If you happen to be the
holder of intellectual property and consider XBMC to be infringing on your
rights, you can find the instructions to file a DMCA infringement
notification here: http://www.google.com/dmca.html .

P.P.S. Like in 2009, you only need to participate in about one hour of the
Qualification Round, and only one Round 1 Sub-Round.

Hello Bartholomew

I know it will sound a bit odd and do I apologize for my views, but I
feel that it may be a bit difficult for me to put in my very best in
Google Code jam while being preoccupied in my exams. Definitely, being
busy with the theory I may not be able to deliver the best of my
potential. In my opinion a contest like Google Code jam deserves
brains to be at their best.
