[Google Maps API v3] HTML upload form in infowindow not working properly in Chrome
Hi, I have a HTML upload form in my infowindow, which works fine. But in Chrome, the words 'No file chosen' or the file name beside the 'Choose file' button doesn't show (but still functions properly). Its looks alright in IE and FF though. Does anyone know why? [Google Maps API v3] Totally confused about which version to use, demos, terms
Hello, I intend to create a website merging maps with database content - a bit similar to many of the websites providing restaurant locations, reviews etc. So visitors could submit reviews for some particular spots of interest, mark them on a map and later on they could be browsed on a map with all the local spots of interest. I was a software developer until about 5 yrs ago, still create websites, but am not very familiar with Javascript etc. However, I want to do it! The problem is that I'm totally confused about a) which version of the Google Maps API to use for my purpose b) where to find docs and demos to get me started and to understand the concept I thought what I'm planning to do would be a 'mashup', alone I found that Mashups seem to be depreciated now and the online demos I found seem only to work with the Maps API v2. Also, it is hard to find out the 'right' way to do it amongst the hundreds of websites dealing with the Google Maps API but many of them seem to provide information refering to the API 1 and 2 and I'm not sure if I should take that route to avoid an outdated codebase from the beginning. Can anyone point me to the right directions please? thanks so much, R. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group. [Google Maps API v3] Issue with styling Korean map
Hi, I just noticed that Google Map does not apply any styling option to South Korea after certain level of zoom. I want to know how I can work around it and if it is WAD. I know that the static map does apply these options but as I use a lot of polygons on top of the map, it unfortunately is not an options for me. [Google Maps API v3] Re: Totally confused about which version to use, demos, terms
v3 is the only one that isn't deprecated, so it's best to start using that. lots of examples here: http://code.google.com/intl/en/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/index.html of interest to you will porobably be this: http://code.google.com/intl/en/apis/maps/articles/phpsqlinfo_v3.html which only saves locations to a database. If you want it to display those locations, too, you can have a look here: http://www.xelawho.com/map/input/input2.html have fun! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group. Re: [Google Maps API v3] Re: Upcoming Google Maps API Office Hours
Thanks for the interest guys - we could definitely experiment with a late hangout hosted from Sydney (~8PM). Unfortunately I'm just about to spend a few weeks in the States, so we'd have to hang out after that. I'm definitely keen to reach as many developers as possible via Hangouts - recording them and making them available on YouTube is something I'm looking into. [Google Maps API v3] Re: Infowindow blinking in firefox when there are images in it, (small images)
Hi, I also have this problem...have you found out why? Thanks On Feb 17, 5:34 pm, Darius dar...@auto-loads.com wrote: Has anyone had such problem when I click on the marker, and when infowindow pops up, it blinks several times on firefox. Not always, but sometimes. I checked on other browser and it works fine, even on IE7. So now I don't know if its even posible to fix, or is this some firefox bug. When I don't use images, then there is no blinking. One of the guys said, that even his video card fan starts working louder, when he does this on firefox. If this is in unknown issue, then maybe later I will make the code seperately from project and show it. If this is not worth wasting time, then please tell it, maybe its because of some firefox bug. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group.
