Re: [Google Maps API v3] Can GMaps using for offline case?
Thanks for your reply! It seems to be well, but it looks like there would be another piece of cost. We will refer this to our customer. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group. Re: [Google Maps API v3] Can GMaps using for offline case?
Just to clarify one point. Seems I was mistaken about portable - can't use it to download Google's imagry :( Its only for making a portables solution from your own data :( Does the Google Earth Portable solution allow you to use Google's imagery?http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/earth_enterprise_faq.html No, the Google Earth Enterprise portable solution is intended to be used in situations where your employees need to access your internal imagery and mapping data. Google does not provide customers with Google licensed data for portable use. Google has many partners that provide custom Google Earth Enterprise portable solutions with high resolution imagery. http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/earth_enterprise_faq.html Sorry On 20 January 2011 10:00, Gising_me jingles...@gmail.com wrote: Thanks for your reply! Re: [Google Maps API v3] Can GMaps using for offline case?
A self hosted Google Earth Enterprise server can be viewed by a Google maps client. See: http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/earth_technical.html *Methods to Access Served Content: *Google Maps API Now with Portable server, can get access to Googles Imagry database 'offline' http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/portable.html On 18 January 2011 02:37, Gising_me jingles...@gmail.com wrote: Thanks for all of you replies, guys! Re: [Google Maps API v3] Can GMaps using for offline case?
You would need a Google Earth Enterprice (Fusion) server http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/earth_enterprise.html A self hosted fusion server can be viewed by Google Maps API client. (apparently provided) I don't know if a Google Maps Premier licence would also be required, suspect not. On 17 January 2011 01:26, Gising_me jingles...@gmail.com wrote: Hello, everybody! Re: [Google Maps API v3] Can GMaps using for offline case?
Thanks for your reply, barryhunter! But I just found that there is something restriction in the 'Google Maps/Google Earth APIs Terms of Service' - 10.3. So is this way illegal? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group. The Enterprise terms allow some leeway to negotiate what you want -- for an appropriate fee. Since http://www.google.com/enterprise/earthmaps/earth_enterprise.html does say Your sensitive data remains secure. Create custom Google Maps and Google Earth 3D Globes and limit use to only those within your own department. Leverage the same security you already have in your current organization, it would appear that 10.3 and 9.1 are terms which can be varied. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group.
