Re: Space out the widget within a vertical panel

2010-05-04 Thread imgnik
I think I should be using "item" instead of widget.

space out meaning adding a spacing to each item.

say I have three textbox inside a VerticalPanel.

I want the three textbox to have a even spacing between them.

fileupload: ensuring the same file being uploaded

2009-07-17 Thread imgnik

hi all,

i posted a question about fileupload here
http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Web-Toolkit/browse_thread/thread/471f5180d9b70ea1#
but i think i didn't phrase my question correctly. so gonna do another
attempt.

I tried to use a gwt fileupload widget to send a csv file to the
server. and at the server i will write it as a file (for other usage)
it by doing : (where request is the httpservletrequest and bw is the
bufferedwriter)

  BufferedReader r = request.getReader();
  while((thisread= r.readLine())!=null){

  bw.write(thisread);

  }
  bw.close();
  }
  catch(Exception e1){}

however, i realised that the csv file send out contains :

--WebKitFormBoundaryN8Z6DOy7DqEWTwtLContent-Disposition: form-
data; name="uploadFormElement"; filename="first.csv"Content-Type:
application/octet-streamBank

which results in the file created not the same as the file upload.
I might be wrong in my analysis. can someone advice me?

getting csv file off the client

2009-07-17 Thread imgnik

hi all,

 i use fileupload to retrieve a csv file and send it using a post
method to the server. at the server, i write the csv file using a
filewriter.

but when i open the csv file, it is different. it contains a few more
chunks of data like

--WebKitFormBoundaryN8Z6DOy7DqEWTwtLContent-Disposition: form-
data; name="uploadFormElement"; filename="first.csv"Content-Type:
application/octet-streamBank

i wonder what is the best practice to handle csv. especially parsing
the csv and getting the data. can someone advise me ?

history and motion chart

2009-07-09 Thread imgnik

hi all,

i want to implement history in my motion chart app.
and basically i want to have a stack of history items that comprise of
different motion chart. so basically as i have more motion chart
( different ones) my history stack increment and i can go forward and
backward with the motion chart changing to the next and previous chart
respectively. ( and hopefully in the same state where it was left in)
but i really donno how to implement the history management for this?

can someone advise me? i know the distribution contains example of
history management. but those are mere hyperlinks. will it be the same
for bigger widget like motion chart? or even maps?
