Hi, I don't know if the Maven artifact in central repository is officially supported by Google team or by someone else.
Anyway, I think that gwt-user artifact should include junit dependency because GWTTestCase depends on TestCase. Otherwise you must add the junit dependency to your project and you get a warning when you launch mvn dependency:analyze because you don't directly use junit classes.
