Comment (by ngraham):

 I created a [https://bitbucket.org/njgraham/pcori-annotated-data-
dictionary BitBucket repository] to keep track of the code created for
this. I haven't gotten too far yet, but started filling in CDM view for
 KUMC using [ticket:145#comment:3 Dan's example].

KUMC Medication Mapping: show and tell (Wed July 23 at 1:00 CDT)

2014-07-22 Thread Nathan Graham
All,

I've scheduled an online meeting with Brian Lund from the Iowa City VA Health
Care System and Dr. Brittany Melton who is an assistant professor from the KU
School of Pharmacy. The purpose of the meeting is to show and tell how we at
Kansas University Medical Center have organized medications in i2b2 using
RxNorm and to discuss some of the challenges we've faced along the way.

We decided to extend an invitation to the gpc-dev mailing list as well.

HERON Medication Mapping Review

1. Please join my meeting.
https://global.gotomeeting.com/meeting/join/263714221

2. Use your microphone and speakers (VoIP) - a headset is recommended. Or,
call in using your telephone.
United States: +1 (646) 749-3131
Access Code: 263-714-221
Audio PIN: Shown after joining the meeting

Meeting ID:263-714-221

My plan based on previous e-mail discussion is to show you our medication
hierarchy and perhaps discuss strategies for mapping medications that don't map
explicitly to RxNorm and therefore end up in the "Other Medications" folder in
the i2b2 hierarchy. If anyone is interested, we can also review the SQL code
used to build the hierarchy and map the medications. I'm happy to discuss
other topics that you may be interested in as well.

Comment (by campbell):

As part of report to PCORI for milestones 2.1, 2.5 and 2.7; it seems
logical to me that we consolidate our reporting requirements and simplify
procedures for creating aggregate GPC stats. I have enclosed a draft
revision of the PCORI form for discussion today

Revised LOINC metadata on PCORI deskotp

2014-07-22 Thread Hickman, Hubert B
I have placed a revised LOINC metadata export file in the GPC i2b2 metadata
folder (loincv3_unmc_export.csv). This file has the LOINC hierarchy starting
at the Laboratory Measurements and Clinical Measurements levels - the per
discussions of sometime back.

I have uploaded a table_access_loincv3.csv which is an excerpt from our
TABLE_ACCESS table showing the two entries for this file.
