Re: [gpc-informatics] #715: NextD request on mapping payer_type variable

2018-11-20 Thread Al'ona Furmanchuk
Dear Prof. Campbell,
Yes, drop box is password protected.
No, we did not use your code. KUMC came up with the one that they were
running on their system. They were not able to run your code as is and
adopt it while the idea was preserved.
No single file of yours was posted on dropbox. NU team completely
respects security of our partners. All your files never meant to be seeing
by anyone besides KUMC team. No worries, we all good on whatever I posted.

Have a great day.
Alona.

Is the dropbox protected by appropriate security? I did NOT give permission to
share the Clarity extracts broadly and they should only be provided to other
Epic customers who request them. Please remove them from Dropbox and
distribute in a secure manner

Comment (by afurmanchuck):

After extensive investigation by KUMC team, Prof. James Campbell & NU team
it was decided to '''remove insurance information from ENCOUNTER table'''.

Insurance information will be extracted for each patient (not each
encounter!) form clarity.COVERAGE_MEM_LIST (in Epic). For each patient
 following elements will be collected:

 '''PATID, Insurance, MEM_EFF_FROM_DATE, MEM_EFF_TO_DATE'''

Those '''will be added to ENROLLMENT table'''.
Please, see all details in new data dictionary in drop box:

https://www.dropbox.com/home/diabetes%20project%20(working%20docs)/Definitions_StudySamples%26Variables?preview=Definitions_Part2-2018-11-20-af.docx

Updates in corresponding SQL extraction codes will be announced
 separately.

LOINC CLASS and CLASSTYPE

2018-11-20 Thread Campbell, James R
Phillip

Assuming that he lab results reported at SW are LOINC coded you can join the
release table from Regenstrief and use the LOINC.System coded data to map the
specimen requirement for CDM. I also used the LOINC.ExampleUCUM units to jump
start the CDMV4.RESULT_UNIT mapping. The LOINC.CLASSTYPE and CLASS is useful
for segregating observations for OBS_CLIN (CLASSTYPE = 2 and NOT CLASS LIKE
'DOC%') and PRO_CM (CLASSTYPE = 4) while laboratory results are CLASSTYPE=1
