[GRASS-dev] New splash screen image for GRASS GIS 8?
Dear all, It seems to me that the time has come for a new splash screen image. Please see a dedicated issue on GitHub where we can upload the suggestions. https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/1716 Best, Vaclav ___ grass-dev mailing list grass-dev@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-dev

A GRASS cheat sheet would be great. I'd be happy to help. What do you envision on the cheat sheet? Would it focus on commands and operations? Or concepts like regions, rasters, vectors? -Brendan On Wed, Jul 7, 2021 at 11:35 AM Luca Delucchi wrote: > On Wed, 7 Jul 2021 at 16:19, Anna Petrášová wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > Hi, > > > what I think would be actually useful would be a GRASS cheatsheet, > something like this: > > https://pandas.pydata.org/Pandas_Cheat_Sheet.pdf > > That is obviously a lot of work, but maybe we could put together > something much simpler, at least for this occasion. > > > > I like it, what do you think about a latex template? > I found this [0], it looks like a good starting point, better than > this [1] and this [2] > > I try to find something in svg, scribus and libreoffice but I had not > result (maybe wrong query) > > [0] http://tug.ctan.org/info/latex-refsheet/LaTeX_RefSheet.tex > http://tug.ctan.org/info/latex-refsheet/LaTeX_RefSheet.pdf > [1] https://www.latextemplates.com/template/cheatsheet > [2] http://wch.github.io/latexsheet/ > > > Anna > > > > -- > ciao > Luca > > www.lucadelu.org > ___ > grass-dev mailing list > grass-dev@lists.osgeo.org > https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-dev > ___ grass-dev mailing list grass-dev@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-dev

FYI Invitation to register and participate in the online community sprint after FOSS4G 2021, on October 2nd Our designer is doing a great job with the workadventu.re environment ;) We are looking forward to seeing you there! It will take place online on Saturday October 2nd, 2021, using WorkAdventu.re [3] plus a bounce of Jitsi channels for each project. The Community Sprint offers an excellent opportunity to meet other OSGeo members and get involved in OSGeo projects! It is a golden opportunity for developers and non-developers to meet with the core team of those projects, get a deeper insight into the software and participate in development, testing or documentation. We follow this tradition since 2009. Since we need to create the Workadventu.re environment, we ask all projects to register on the wiki page by July 15th. Projects that have registered on time will have their own Workadventu.re environment, those that register later will only have a Jitsi channel reported on the community sprint wiki page. The OSGeo Code Sprint is open to all who wish to participate in one or more projects. WorkAdventu.re environment is open only to people registered to FOSS4G 2021 whereas the Jitsi channels are open to everyone. There is always plenty to do – it’s not all about programming; translation, documentation, feedback, discussions, testing – all this is also important for projects, so everyone is cordially invited to attend the community sprint! The Organizing Team is looking forward to your coming! Please register soon [1] See you at FOSS4G 2021! Hi, what I think would be actually useful would be a GRASS cheatsheet, something like this: https://pandas.pydata.org/Pandas_Cheat_Sheet.pdf That is obviously a lot of work, but maybe we could put together something much simpler, at least for this occasion. hihihi I like Maris suggestion, sounds funny :) I also thought/recalled of a beautifully handcrafted grass logo that looked like a sticker made by Vaclav not so long ago. See: https://twitter.com/vaclavpetras/status/1359972415233789952/photo/1. We could offer it as a virtual sticker if Vashek agrees and kindly donates it, of course! A link to try GRASS online could also be something nice to promote and our twitter handle (which reached 3k followers today!)
